If there was one thing that would have increased my rating to 5 star, it would have been greater choice on the menu. In no way am I criticising the venue, staff courtesy, quality or quantity of the food or the drinks on offer... it's all more than acceptable and I have loved going here for years....bur just a few more choices across the starter, main and dessert menu would have tipped it for me personally. Lovely venue, great staff and good food at a fair price. 🙂

absolutly great. nice comfy bed, room brilliant and the food very tasty. as you all know for me brekkies is vital and they did not dissapoint. freshly cooked lovely. can only recomnend, staff are all superb!!!

Very enjoyable Sunday lunch,I had the delicious roast beef and my wife had the chicken.Large portions,good value,cosy restaurant with log burner in full use,very good service by pleasant young ladies,very busy so important that the meal is pre booked.Worthy of 5 stars.

First time visit was very impressed excellent room fantastic bar and very good and friendly staff never had a chance to sample the food as the restaurant was closed but the breakfast was superb highly recomend.

A lovely venue in a picturesque rural setting. Peaceful with friendly staff. The rooms are clean and modern and offer a peaceful break. The food is amazing, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The bar offers a rustic setting and the ale is kept well. Thoroughly recommended.

Gorgeous, well decorated, cosy local. Food was fabulous, tomato bruschetta was bursting with flavour, very fresh, very seasonal. The Moving Mountains burger was a good choice for a vegetarian (although nothing else to choose from) was packed with gherkins and relish making quite a wholesome dish, served with chunky chips and a dressed salad, more than enough to fill you up! There are some weekday offers on, check the menus for more details.Service was excellent too, greeted at the door and waited on well by attentive friendly family staff, all very helpful.Sloped entrances and small double doors make up the main entrance, think you might struggle on your own with a wheelchair but with help would be fine.Dining area was separate to the bar, well decorated and comfy chairs, a little chilly but maybe a measure to keep covid down?The bar looked busy on the way out so obviously popular.Only negative is the distinct lack of lighting in the car park, literally pitch black out there so pop your phone torch on before you leave!All round fabulous service and would recommend.

We stayed here for a wedding a month ago. Couldn’t fault it. The room was so lovely . Looked all new;) double shower , gorgeous. The food was amazing . Keep up the excellent service ;) thank you to all the staff. Maria Turner

We have just had the pleasure of celebratingour Sons wedding at this magnificent venue. Where do I start. It was stunning , they ensured everything was in perfect order. The food was absolutely amazing. The rooms were spotless and spacious. The Brothers who own the venue have done a fantastic job and there was nothing at all that was too much trouble. Stayed there last week for 1 night roomWas terrible. Room 1 big black fan outside window from kitchen was told it would go off my 9pm still going at 10pm really noisy. Then it was back on just after 6am. Not what you want when you have a long drive back to Wales ahead of you. pillowcases stained when I asked for the pillowcase to be changed I was given 2 new pillowcases to change myself, bath panel taped on. Bath tap dripping, bath plug rusted, walls and doors chipped. I spoke to receptionist she wasn’t that bothered said they hadn’t got round to doing that room yet. I get that but not really what I expected to pay for. Messaged manager still waiting for him to respond. I offered the manager the photos I took but nothing. Shame we stayed here a couple of years ago and it was lovely

Stayed here for three nights to attend a wedding and to also explore the area. Fantastic food, including the wedding breakfast. The room (19) was lovely, clean and appeared to have been recently renovated. The staff were also very helpful and polite. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
