Fantastic great atmosphere due to Le Patron, great food, nice 🐕

We were at The Hume on Saturday, Sunday and Monday evening last weekend. We had fantastic food. Vijay makes excellent Indian dinners - exceedingly tasty and well presented. He and Maeve are lovely Landlord and Landlady. The pub was not busy as it seems the locals don't frequent often, but we were delighted with the atmosphere and the ambience of the pub. We were made very welcome and have been in the past similarly. We would heartily recommend visiting this Pub : it's excellent and the food is delicious.

We asked Maeve and Vijay if they could make us a typical Hindu style meal to share with family and friends to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary. What a triumph! We can't thank them enough for the skill, care, thought and expertise that went into the creation of what turned out to be a splendid banquet. The variety of dishes and flavours, the traditional touches, their personal input with explanations, cultural facts, anecdotes and even advice and recipes from Vijay's mum and sister blew us all away. We'll be talking about it for ever and can't recommended them highly enough.

Second meal here . 1st meal roast beef dinner and home made puds was great . Lamb dinner was next plus puds was also 1st class landlord and his wife are very welcoming .

Very good!! A hidden gem. The owner is an awesome host. Worth a visit.

Fabulous! Run by a lovely couple and the food is wonderful. Child friendly and there is a varied menu, including curries and the best samosas I've ever had - and all home made.

Friendliest, nicest landlord and landlady of any pub I've ever been in (and I've been in many!). Really really great food, made on site from scratch. Truly a hidden gem. Support this local pub!

Delicious food. Friendly hosts.Went there for a wonderful Sunday lunch, perfectly cooked beef.Returned the next evening for their delicious curry.Would recommend without hesitation.
