The Jolly Scotchman, Sleaford in North Kesteven

Absolutely brilliant! 19 of us went for a 21st birthday meal, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the staff were superb!

Not bad food for the money, and a pretty good selection of beers. However....... the TVs are turned up so loud during the football that conversation is impossible, and although their website says they are dog friendly, they're really not. Garden only for dogs no matter what the weather.

Lovely pub. Good prices, great food and even better staff. Would definitely recommend visiting this place be it lunch with your co-workers or a night out with your friends. Just look at that dessert.

My original review, posted on the 23rd of September was one star for a very rude member of staff. We decided to give the place another chance on the 23rd of Feb 22.Booking was easy, and they accommodated a last minute change in time without complaint.An altogether lovely experience. Staff were friendly and professional. Food was served quickly despite them being busy. Menu was good. App is very good, and responded to very quickly.The only complaint I have is the table we were given - number 23 I think (The big round one). It wobbled loads until we 'fixed' it with a piece of card. A minor issue really.A word of advice to prospective customers. If you order the chip cob in loaf of bread, be prepared to be rolled out of the pub. It literally is a pile of chips and gravy in a whole loaf of bread!Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable, and I'm glad we gave the place a second chance.My old review.I Called on the 23rd September to book a table for the next day. Was told quite rudely that “we’re not taking bookings for tomorrow” and hung up on.The rudeness from the lady was uncalled for. You have lost my custom.

You can't fault The Jolly. Just called in for a bite to eat and a drink. Food is more than satisfactory and staff are always smiling and polite. Oh and the prices are reasonable especially if you have the daily deals.

Nice family pub with a good menu range with offers on just about every day. Bit limited on the veggie versions for main meals but loads of choice for meat eaters.Service was really good and all pleasant staff too, nice and friendly.Blue light card discount too so don't forget to show when you pay!

We come here a lot, it’s normally lovely. This evening however, we arrived and went to order our meals, 3 of our 5 choices were off the menu but we hadn’t been told. The waitress then brought the wrong food and then tried to take away the right food, there was no smiling or friendliness, in fact, barely any conversation, the doors were left open repeatedly whilst staff took down Halloween decorations outside and goodness knows what else, this lead to is all eating in our coats. The steak was beautiful however the potato skins were dreadful. Not the best experience for my daughters birthday meal. So disappointing as we normally love it here.

Fantastic place, fantastic food, fantastic service. Wish I lived local I would be there every night. Thanks to Nicola and Shawn for a great time.
