In the past we have been regulars however probably won't be for a while. Last time we went, there was a shortage of staff and the service was really slow but we gave them the benefit of the doubt as just emerging from lock down. However we went again last night and arguably a little worse. Over two and a half hours between arriving and leaving so good job you get three hours in the car park! I have to say the few staff on duty worked really hard and did their best and the food was really nice. I feel area managers should think less about meeting targets and consider shutting off areas while staff levels are low. A bit short sighted to think they will ever meet sales targets as people will simply not visit. Much better to to give the staff a chance by serving fewer people well.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating. We had their vegan Sunday dinner, which when served is quite lacking, especially when you see others having the meat option being served a full plate. They should definitely fill up the plate to compensate for what gets removed with it not being vegan. We did, however, ask for more of everything (except the meat substitute, which was tasty) so still left feeling full without feeling the need to buy more or go elsewhere for something else.

This place is really changed since I last came.I came about four months ago. The staff are slow the place wasn’t very clean to be fair the food was standard and took ages to be served and when it came out wasn’t that nice anyway. They had to give us a voucher and even then we didn’t want to come back I don’t recommend it for anybody looking for an exciting amazing meal because you won’t get it in this cheap pub. It’s okay for the kids if you want them to play outside but it’s not really a pub to enjoy mail

Food was lovely. Service was very slow we were a larger group of 9) 4 adults and 5 children had been at drayton manor and was very hungry and very tired we ordered our meal at half 7 and while the starter and main was served in good time we was waiting for ages for the kids desserts not getting them till gone 9pm. The staff were very apologetic about it but seemed very unorganised and very short staffed..

Visited this site yesterday, early evening, usually great service and good food, having been here many times before, however on this occasion, won't be returning. Waited for nearly an hour for food and when informing the duty manager Laura, firstly she looked as if she didn't believe us and secondly blamed her colleagues for not informing us there was a wait on food. She had a really bad attitude, totally understand working in the industry can be stressful, as I currently do, however her customer service skills were lacking. She did offer drinks and desserts, which would have been good if we had wanted them, however having already waited so long for food, we just wanted to eat and leave.

The soft drink was advertised (with strawberries and ice), in reality they gave us a can 😐, very disappointing. The chicken dinner came with the smallest pot of gravy, when we requested more we was told we would have to pay 😮, we politely declined (a kind lady then bought out another tiny pot of gravy which we didn't pay for). Other than that the food was fine.

Called in with some friends whilst on our road trip. A bit of a wait for our food but it was worth it. Good sized portions that we're well presented. Helpful staff when you could find one! X

Great good and friendly staff, some items were off the menu due to driver shortages and the Sunday carvery was not available, but other than that a great experience.
