XENOPHOBIC AND DISCRIMINATIG ON DISABLED PEOPLE 😡 SHSME ON EMA AIRPORTStaff was fobbing me off ..I was with a friend whose daughter was disabled.. what a disgrace it was so obvious shame on the lady at the door that refused me entry and my friend and her disabled 41 years old daughter .. First she looked at us up and down.. then she proceeded to say the were closing..LIE..it was 3 pm and on Sunday the closed at 4.. they when I challenged her she said they where short staffed and over crowded when it was clearly obvious it wasn't true 😡 and suggested that we go and seat on a quite corner on the disabled area..😡then as we where arguing that people were leaving making space for us to come in and still the woman at the door didn't let us in we just gave up ...after picketing the door as I was appalled that I saw people were allowed in.. disabled are human and if you feel embarrassed by them you should re-educate yourself not treat them as an embarrassing problem.. most people don't care and this woman behavior makes me feel we are going backwards... I bet if she wasgood looking g and pretty groomed it would have been a different matter

Excellent service in this lounge, got in through my Monzo bank app which was cheaper than the advertised price to enter. Good choice of snacks, crisps, sweets and a fully stocked bar with full service, very clean and tidy up busy but that's a good sign

We booked the lounge for the 20th April 2022 as it showed on the website that this was the reopening date of the lounge, we then found out it was closed due to a ‘technical issue’. I however think this was a cover story to hide the fact that there were not enough people booked up to warrant the opening of the lounge on that day.We were given some complimentary vouchers to use in some of the restaurants - so not overly disappointed.

While airports return to normal and lounges across the world are open serving business passengers and lounge members in true EMA style their lounge remains closed “due to government restrictions”, those ones that no longer exist! One day this airport will actually get its act together

Fifty quid for two, we tried one before at Manchester and it was brilliant. Now I am sat in one in East Midlands airport and there are a number of things wrong?!!?Staff great, access easy, toilets next door to the lounge. Comfy chairs and tables abound, The atmosphere is relaxed but sadly I think it's reached the kitchens as well?A number of people were moaning but I made a complaint and logged it with the staff, their idea and I thought why not?Bacon egg, sausage beans etc on offer along with some porridge cereals and fruit. All you could drink coffee, tea, wine and beers so what went wrong?Next to no food available! They were bringing it out in small volume, to be fair it didn't look busy in the lounge but, by Eck, the punters were putting it away when they could get it, therefore, there was never much left. They just weren't cooking enough. God knows what it would be like if they were busy?As I say, staff were busy, attentive, and polite but, I doubt I ate and drank a tenner of my £25 share of the food and drink 🤔I won't be using it again!

Staff were friendly, and there was a good atmosphere throughout our stay in here, there was a decent selection of food for breakfast and lunch. Chargers were available for all tables on request with USB slots. Toilets were just around the corner, and the smoking area is just upstairs all within a small walking distance. There was a good selection of ales, spirits and soft drinks available. Good experience overall.

Great lounge staff always helpful a generally mice place to go and relax with a bit of food and drink before the flights departure. We were in the lounge for just over 2 hrs during which the staff collected empty glasses regularly and fresh food was brought out also regularly. Can't fault the place for the price highy recommended

This place is the most beautiful setting. Drinks excellent. What a lovely afternoon we spent here. Looks nothing from the front but wait until you go inside. Great place to have a party or just sit and take in the view

The lounge is located on the ground floor opposite gate 15/16. We prepaid £20pp online to come into the lounge, from the 31st March 2019, they do not accept cash so it is likely that you now have to prebook in advance. The lounge is all inclusive with the exceptions for drinks like champagne. There is a loyalty card you can collect from reception too if you choose to come numerous times.Upon entering the lounge, you will need to check in at the desk. You can get a code for the wifi from this front desk. There is a large seating area with a variety of different seating options. We checked in for breakfast. There is a buffet style island where you can get some food. Hot options include back bacon, sausage, beans and tomatoes. Eggs are not available anymore. Vegan sausages are available on request. Bread is located in a bread bin. There are a range of different cereal options, fruit and cakes. Most drinks are available from the bar. We had Manchester Pale Ale and Strongbow regularly. Non-Alcoholic beer is also available. Other options include apple or orange juice from the buffet island, hot drinks are available from the two machines located on each end of the lounge. Bottles of water, sparkling and still, can be found in a fridge under the food island. There are televisions that are muted with subtitles. Music is playing at a reasonable sound level. There is also a choice of magazines and newspapers to choose from. There are plenty of plug/usb sockets to charge your devices if necessary. There are two departure boards in the lounge to check for your flights. There are no toilets in the lounge, you will need to exit through the front door and turn right, they are not far. You can re-enter the lounge if you need to use the toilets. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The upfront cost of the lounge may seem a bit much at first, however if you were to use the other bar/food facilities in the airport, costs can quickly rack up. We highly recommend using the lounge.

It's hit or miss here. Sometimes very good but slow today. Tables not cleared, poor staff communication. Some colleagues could not book on line as lounge is full. Ask at desk, still no. Table next to us booked from 13.00. We only wanted 09.00 til 12.00. Then told they could enter, but this was at 10.30. The place is at best 10% full. Ridiculous.
