Harvester Express in North West Leicestershire

Server good. Restaurant fine but the 7 oz Gammon that I had was extremely salty. I could not finish it as a result. Reported this to the server but he said not sure what he could do. Made a feedback online the next day but the management (of the Loughborough restaurant?) emailed back promptly to say gammon is a salty cured meat and so nothing they could do. They suggested me to choose another meat next time. Three problems here: i) The response was simply dismissive. I felt my feedback as a customer is not valued here. ii) Why does it not say on the menu to warn diners that gammon in this restaurant is high in salt content, like giving number of chillies to indicate the level of spiciness of curries; iii) The chef in another Harvester desalts the meat before cooking and I had it many times. If desalting the gammon could be done by another Harvester chef, why the chef in Loughborough could not do it? Soaking the gammon strip overnight in water will no doubt reduce the saltiness of the meat or sourcing gammon from supplier that contains less salt. We all should be health conscious these days and hence it is unacceptable for Harvester Loughborough to continue serving the very salty 7 oz gammon dish.

Never have I had a polite server at the Harvester in Loughborough. The staff there are usually miserable. I have also never been asked if my meal was ok, or if I wanted anything else and often find myself having to approach staff and ask for service. However today I was pleasantly surprised by our server Caroline. Caroline was polite and a good conversationalist. She regularly checked on us and was very helpful. Thank you Caroline for making our visit an enjoyable one. The only issue we did have was the toilets were disgusting. Full of thick dust and grime everywhere. Food was yummy and we are both now very full and content.

We got a table at very short notice on a Sunday afternoon and the staff that welcomed us were very attentive, ordered our drinks and when we got our drinks they told us to go see Ryan who will help get our salad. As soon as we were back at the table we ordered our food we received it very quickly. The chicken skewers were perfectly moist and tasty and the sweet potato fries the best I've tasted. Compliments to the chef I really was impressed and with the service. Definitely worth a visit!!!

Stopped off for lunch on a journey north as it's just off the M1. Nicer lunch than a service area, though probably a little slower. Kids (5&7) enjoyed the colouring in, though were a little frustrated at the lack of colours. Food was all nice, staff friendly and helpful. Would stop here again.

The food tasted good, albeit a little bit overpriced for what it is. Our waitress seemed a little grumpy. The actual restaurant has a decent vibe. The reason for my 2 star is hygiene - Our glasses, bowls, knives, folks, etc, weren't very clean, and one of the glasses actually had a lipstick mark on the edge from a previous customer.

We had a really lovely meal from the moment we were booked in the service was fabulous. The food was absolutely delicious and the Variety of foods available on the menu was great. Caroline our waitress was so lovely she checked on us one or to times to make sure we had everything we needed and to make sure our food was ok.

Greeted with warm welcomes and didn't make us wait around for anything. Food was fresh and tasted great and our waiter Ash was absolutely incredible couldn't fault him what's so ever. Definitely going again

Update to my last review:After give it another try everything got to top usual ...and food was totally tailored to our preference and an excellent shout for allergy care, which is very laudable to Harvester staff and management.A significant improvement from my last review....It has been much better before than now, this regarding either food quality and tastiness or salad bar choices. Yet, for a visit here and there for a change that it will do.Harvester won another star, the fifth one, due to our lovely waitress Natalie 💫...service is better every time...

Very nice pub, the waiters and waitresses were all very helpful and attentive. Only 4 stars because alot of the main menu was alot more expensive than you would expect of a harvester. I'm talking about £18 for an average main. However the Christmas menu was alot more reasonable. Enjoyable evening.

Just returned back home from a beautiful meal! The staff are really friendly and helpful and our server Ash made the meal a very relaxing experience :) our meals was delicious (made by Simon,Shane & Marc!) We will definitely be returning! :)
