The Old Crown Inn in North West Leicestershire

Simply lovely!Working in the area with a colleague and we stumbled upon - I think it was called The Globe.However, as it was a Thursday, they'd stopped serving food after 8pm but the lady behind the bar whispered that we should try The Old Crown!We did, and what a good recommendation it was.Lovely spacious restaurant, (Ben's Kitchen I think it was called) absolutely lovely food - that pie!!And a special mention about the staff. They were all so lovely! The two young brown haired ladies behind the bar, and the blonde haired lady who served our food!!Many thanks and well done! 🏆

Lovely pub, staff are friendly and a good choice of drink. The foods amazing!

Was driving around looking for somewhere to call in n have a bite to eat, as not from the area.. And came across this Gem.. Absolutely beautifully cooked food and spot on pint of Landlord.. Staff delightful and very pleasant. Bar and restaurant.. (Ben's Kitchen) 10/10.. Will be back again in the future 100%

A nice pint that was well priced., the garden was spacious and it had a nice play area. The food fron Ben's kitchen was really good.

Really great food, we went for three courses as it was so enjoyable. The waiting staff were atte time but not bothering us every few minutes. Lovely place, we will definitely be back.

A really good place. Everyone so welcoming, comfortable rooms and excellent food. Large beer garden, quiet surroundings, great for a sunny day.

Good meal. Vegetables took awhile to turn up.Service abit hapazard, very young staff need better training. Right fiasco over the deserts, said we hadn't ordered custard, cream etc when ordering before hand, my niece wasn't asked about it. Tbh its natural when bringing out deserts to ask what we want with them. Had to wait awhile till cream etc turned up.. Spoilt the meal. Person in charge said they'd talk to the staff about it, whoopee, deleting desert charge would have been better.

Excellent all round, presentation and quality of food was delicious, restaurant had a nice atmosphere and customer service was spot on. We will be back, thank you 🤩

Ben's Kitchen - we had a wonderful meal. Staff were so helpful and polite and Ben went the extra mile to make our family evening out a fabulously enjoyable one. Highly recommended.

What an absolute delight. Went here to (Ben's Kitchen) for the first time this afternoon for food & drink. The food was amazing. I had a Sunday roast of beef rump and gammon with 3 different types of potato, beautiful crispy Yorkshire, cabbage and peas. Roast carrots and parsnips, stuffing. Cooked to perfection. Topped off with excellent gravy and to top it all, it was served beautifully and was really hot. A rare treatThe other member of my party (a self confessed burger expert) had their homemade burger and was suitably impressed. Again served beautifully and cooked to perfection.We followed up with desserts. Mine was Baklava with homemade pistachio ice-cream, raspberry coulis and lovely little purple flowers. The other equally delicious dessert was chocolate fudge cheesecake with ice-cream. This also looked and tasted exquisite.All the staff were very welcoming and considerate and the ambience was unusually pleasant. I do hope they keep this standard up.Just a minor note if any staff read this, please serve a spoon and fork with dessert as standard and not just a spoon.Prices are spot on especially for such good quality.
