Stopped over for one night at this hotel on our way home following a break. As we were travelling with our dog we had booked in advance. We were impressed with the way the staff went out of their way to ensure a good stay. It was a warm evening and we didn't want to leave our dog alone in a strange room. It was no bother for a separate table to be arranged for us to sit outside. We had already discovered a dog bed and food bowls awaiting us when we got to our room.We also had a couple of minor problems which were dealt with immediately and efficiently. All in all, a good experience for an overnight stay.

The room was clean, tidy and as expected, we slept well and enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel was in good repair and our only real complaint was receiving a parking fine. While this was a worry and a pain - it was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the manager after a single phone call.

Hotel was comfortable for one night. The bathroom was clean but stained, both the sink and toilet. The dinner was served in the bar (socially distanced) and was excellent. Would not recommend the take away breakfast that was offered. We we're only offered bacon a sandwich, when we collected it on leaving, it consisted of one bacon sandwich each, soggy white bread, no butter or sauce, it was a very expensive breakfast.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a groupon deal which came with the hotel, breakfast and tickets for Twycross zoo which was a steal in my opinion! The rooms are very comfy and nice and the bathroom is large. The shower is also very powerful which is good. The breakfast due to covid was not a buffet but still very efficient and delicious. Could have had a bigger selection of continental breakfast but I still really enjoyed it.

It was an average room. Looked neat. The bed linen were itchy 😩 and we informed the receptionist about this . She was kind enough and gave us a new pair of bed linens and they were fine.. But the overall stay is average

Staff lovely & helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast & evening meal good quality, tasty & good value for money. Unfortunately the view from our room was a roof, but the room was large & comfortable.

Stayed Saturday 29th May, had a great stay and would highly recommend. The hotel is easy to get too from the motorway, there is nothing close by except the service station with a mcdonalds. In the evening the lady on the desk, and the lady and young lad serving drinks were so friendly. They kindly put us in a comfortable position infront of the tv to watch football. The room itself was large for a familt of 3 and clean, a little bit tired, worn carpet, grout in the bathroom but all in all clean and comfortable. We never stayed for breakfast as wanted to get to the carboots, and breakfast only started from 8am, they do sittings for breakfast from 8am every half a hour.Would recommend and will be back, thank you

Booked this as a venue for my wife's 40th. Function room and clean and tidy. Staff very helpful, which made planning the event smooth and trouble free. Room prices for party guests very competitive (this was before lockdown).

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A NIGHT/SHIFT WORKER!The hotel and rooms were ok but require modernisation. Carpet stains, dirty tea cups, thin windows (motorway/loud people noise) and an overly soft bed were some of the issues I had.I work variable hours including on this occasion returning to the hotel at 11.30pm and leaving again at 2/3am and then returning again at 5am. I did mention this on the desk on arrival and was told it wouldn't be a problem. Apart from the fact that when I went to leave in the morning at 3am there was no one around and I had to wait ten minutes for the doors at the front to be opened. Then when returning at 5am the barriers to the car park were up and the telecom wasn't working! The lady said "give us some notice and we will open it up". I shouldn't have to ring the hotel to gain access to the place I'm staying. Why do you not have an automatic barrier system in place and a call system on entry to the car park??I am in the area a lot for business but now I will take my business elsewhere.

Staff were superb. Couldnt have been more friendly or accommodating for the past 3 weeks. Rooms need updating. One double socket for the whole room is not adequate in this day and age. If you get room 109 however you get a fully refurbished room with loads of sockets with charger points built in and a walk in shower.....i had that first week there then second week i got downgraded to a double bed....third week i ended up in a single bed! 🤷♂️.....food was decent. Thanks to the chef who was so nice. I would return again
