Lovely enjoyable evening. Food was really good and the service was excellent.

·

Lovely food, lovely serving staff and chilled vibe

Our meals were not hot, the champagne sauce was split, so it was sent back, and the spinach, which was almost with each dish, was soggy.

We had the cream tea, a present for our anniversary, it was lovely with lots of choices. The young lady who looked after us she was on hand to see we were alright and nothing was too much trouble, even packed the food we couldn’t eat to take home. Definitely go back.

Decided to try this place having read the reviews. Went on Saturday which just so happened to be serving their Valentines menu. We arrived a little early and it was busy so we went into the bar to have a drink. I had a red wine which was served in a very old fashioned crystal style glass. We eventually got seated at a table which looked like an outdoor table (marble looking but made of plastic). To start we chose the Camembert to share - it arrived with slices of bell pepper, cucumbers and bread stick you buy from a supermarket and serve at kids parties. We asked for some bread which was a separate dish and expense and got triangular wedges of bread served with olive oil and balsamic and a bowl of green and black olives (stones in tact - thanks for not warning us, we almost broke our teeth)For our mains, I had the peri chicken with home made coleslaw and paprika fries. The peri sauce tasted straight out of a jar and wasn’t hot at all. The coleslaw was served in a small paper sauce pot along with another containing mayonnaise. The fries were soggy and had been peppered with paprika powder. My other half had a rack of lamb which was mostly fat and over cooked and gravy that was served after he has started his meal.We decided to give dessert a try and opted for the Baileys crème brûlée - this didn’t taste of baileys but did taste of burnt sugar however I’m not sure how they managed to burn it because most of it was still crystallised. The service was poor, forgotten drinks orders, no spoons served with dessert and given we booked the table for 7:30pm we didn’t eat for over an hour. The pub/food is trying to be something it’s not this is not sophisticated it is like the kind of food you would serve to children. Locally sourced food would suggest freshly cooked ingredients but it definitely tasted and looked like food purchased from a supermarket.I would not recommend eating here and will not eat here again.

Really nice breakfast, nice friendly fast service. Thanks.

I come here regular and i am never let down. The service is great and the food is always phenomenal and not extremely pricey like some places like this would do. Drinks were great value tooI have been here on a date, family meals and bringing corporate clients and have never left feeling disappointed.

Visited the vine for a superb luxurious breakfast included complimentary Prosecco to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday. Excellent friendly service. Young lady waitress Jasmine was particularly attention to detail with great customer service skills. Many thanks. Made my daughters morning special

Lovely staff, service and atmosphere. Food was excellent and the cocktails were honestly some of the best cocktails we've ever had!

Absolutely awful. Wish I'd read the other reviews before planning a special lunch here. We went for an afternoon tea for 6 of us.We've had a few afternoon teas here, and all were fabulous, until now. We had decided to take both sets of parents as a treat. We were told that the menu had been "updated," when what's really happened is there has been a huge change of management style. We previously liked it so much that we bought gift cards for presents for family. There were 3 little fingers of sandwich each which looked like a 5 year old had made them. We had asked for some simple sandwiches for children, but we got ham and a hot mustard, beef on dry bread and egg and cress. The crusts were all left on the bloomer bread and they tasted cheap and dry.The scones served used to be lovely, with a vanilla whipped cream and raspberry coulis. Now, you just get whipped cream slapped into a bowl with no thought for presentation, or taste; it was sweetened previously and contained vanilla seeds too. They also used to serve warm pork pies and quiches, both of which were amazing. There were two more levels of cake; a slice of loaf cake and another muffin, plus a macaroon each. No other savoury like there used to be, just a slab of bought in cake (they sell them in tesco). How anyone could be expected to manage that quantity of cake is beyond me.Appaling. Through and through. We did pay for our raspberry lemonade which really should have been complimentary as it ruined what should have been a lovely meal out with our in-laws. It is so sad how somewhere that used to provide such lovely food can go so far downhill.Don't waste your money. Was told the owners would be in touch. Have I heard anything? Of course not!
