Birchfield Fish Bar in Northampton

This is my first time cod and chips , Delicious and tasty preparation of cod , chips are excellent.value for money , size of the cod and quantity of the chips.Would not hesitate in recommending Birchfield fish bar to all my friends .The cod was not oily like other fish and chips outlets.This is now going to be my famous fish and chips shop

We have had fish and chips from here before and it was good, however, yesterday we purchase two cod and chips and it was terrible. The batter tasted horrible and looked over cooked and it was luke warm, perhaps was sitting there for a long time. The chips were luke warm too. Very dissapointed at the quallity, not sure that l would go there again, especially after paying £18.25 for this food.

Always enjoy the fish and chips always buy some when I visit Northampton

This is the best chip shop in Northampton, lovely family run business food is delicious been using them for years and they have never disappointed

I ordered food tonight from here and there was a hair in my Donna kebab meat and it was not my hair because it was a black hair and my hair is not black and it put me straight of my food but seeing a hair in your food that you just ordered and payed for and that you can’t eat it is disgusting and that is bad hygiene they should be wearing hair nets but their not , I will never order from them again absolutely turns my guts

Always great food, always prompt and hot. The go to chip shop for my family! Highly recommended.

Small chips and small battered sausage for 4 quid? BARGAIN!Freshly cooked and piping hot.

The quality of the Fish & Chips we collected today at lunch time were sadly poor quality, Chips were tiny bits/chunks and cold when we began to eat and the fish while tasting fresh was coated in a badly made, soggy and discoloured batter. Curry sauce was lumpy and tasteless. Maybe just bad luck today.

Have to say best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Fish was excellent, very fresh, great portion of tasty chunky chips. Food still really hot when I got them home. Will be returning again soon for sure!

A good indication of how good the food is the number of returning customers. The staff calling folk by their name tells me many are repeat customers. I don't live near this chippy but will go out of my way to visit as I know I will be getting what I consider to be the best fish and chips in Northampton.
