China House in Northampton

Food was actually nice but by time it got here in my head I already had my doubts. 2 hours to get 2 dishes from a Chinese ? Not for me. Deffo more reliable and better tasting places to go in Northampton.

Have used this takeaway as long as I have lived in St.James , through many changes of owners and have honestly never had a bad meal or less than polite service.Can't understand the negative reviews and see they are very old comments .

New menu out, but they have dropped the free chicken wings for over £12 spend, satay sauce is great, and still a great chinese

I ordered a hot and sour soup and king prawns with mixed vegetables in oyster sauce. Both are delicious, just in my king prawn and veggie mix, they forgot to add the prawns. Not even one :(Other than that delicious

Ordered a chicken curry, chicken balls and egg fried rice with prawn crackers, BOTH egg fried rices were mush and no taste at all! The chicken curry was more like gravy and there was so much grease on the top £17 gone down the drain, we couldn’t eat any of it, went straight into the bin, the prawn crackers were the only edible thing we ordered! Completely avoid!!

Very nice meal here. Singapore Rice Noodle is great , a lots of meat and fresh vegetables in the house special fried rice. Definitely recommend.

Looking at others' reviews I find it strange the average rating is so low. Had nothing but excellent food from them over the last few months, portion sizes are huge and good quality. Very satisfied with the service I've received

Ordered recently for the first time, they arrive early, the food was properly hot when it arrived, which was great.The soup was delicious, the beef was crispy and tasted fresh, the sauce was different to other places but actually almost preferable that way.The only fault I found was a hair in the spring rolls. I don’t normally eat spring rolls but I thing that might just be my last for a long time.Everything else was amazing and I will more than likely give them a second try.

The best Chinese takeaway I've had. The chicken skewers come in packs of six!!!! They delivered on a Friday night within 30 mins, well priced (but is cash only) hot and the satay sauce... THE BEST SATAY SAUCE I HAVE EVER TASTED! Honestly beautiful! And free chicken wings! Would highly recommend and will not go anywhere else.
