Went to a medieval banquet here tonight. Had a lovely time with a couple of friends, food was really very good and plentiful. Entertainment was good too. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but we had a very good time and would definitely do it again.

Perfect venue! Amazing attentive staff and food was delicious. Only draw back on the parking but a 2 min walk is worth it.

My partner and I visited for valentines night and had the most fun evening. First struck by the beauty of the venue both inside and out The atmosphere in the dining room was amazing which as we said to each other is rare on Valentineโs Day with just couples dining, we found the live entertainment a perfect compliment to the efficient yet warm service and the outstanding cuisine. We both loved the scallop starter and shared the beef Wellington main which has crisp pastry with beautifully rare beef fillet inside that I could have cut with a spoon. We both had cannoli which was a great combination of the sweet cream cut through with raspberry and the smooth textures after the bite of the pastry. We have already booked to attend a murder mystery event there with friends next month: highly recommend

We went to The Church for a New Year's Eve event, not for usual dinner. It was a dinner + party, and it was really nice ambient, with beautiful decoration and good music. The building is amazing, and it worths visiting. However, I'd say the food wasn't amazing, and it was just "okay", with good presentation but no flavour. Considering the type of restaurant, I was expecting more of it. So, in general the experience was good, but I felt a bit disappointed with the menu.

A shadow of its former glory.Under new management and to be honest it's gone down hill.Vegetarian in our group told 10 minutes after ordering that the vegetarian option was off the menu!!! Not a great start to the evening, then told 10 minutes again the chef could make a vegetarian lasagna. After an HR the mains arrived, 3 of us had sirloin steak, 2 were cold, not even the peppercorn sauce could warm them up!!! 1 was inedible due the fat, gristle and sinew, think it died of age!!!!Another hr wait for pudding, cold chocolate brownie with a dollop of ice crystal ice cream.1 star given for the cherry compote with the brownies. No way will this place last under the new management.

Visited for husbands birthday, when we arrived only 6 other diners there on a Friday night but service was still really slow. Food was good with the exception that the risotto with the chicken was cold, didn't raise it until after we'd eaten as nobody bothered to check how the food was until after we were done. Waited an age for the plates to be cleared and then no one came back to offer dessert or more drinks. After trying to get someone's attention in the end we just decided to get the bill and went on elsewhere for drinks and dessert. Shame as food was good overall but service was poor and the 2 members of staff on seemed to struggle with the basics despite a maximum of 10 customers. Don't think we'd be back

Booked table for my family of 4 to celebrate a special occasion. We were given an earlier time at 19:15 as the restruarant had booking later in the evening. On arrival there were no other guests, we were shown to our table by a young waiter, he walked away as we sat down, we thought once we settled down he'll bring over the menus and maybe take our drinks orders. But to our disappointment, he didn't come back. My daughter had to get up and go and request for the menus. By then 2 other guests had arrived and they were already given a menu on arrival.Following on, we ordered our drinks and food which took an extremely long time to come out, once the food arrived the waitress just walked off, she did not offer any sauce or checked if we wanted anything else. We had to try and catch one of the waiters attention to request for sauce. Food was average, nothing fine about it, there were no check backs to see whether our food was OK, as a matter of fact, we felt there were no interest in us. After our main course was finished, we ordered our desserts, once again it was late coming out, it took almost 45 min. Overall the waiting service was extremely poor. Food was average, nothing to shout about. I booked this restaurant to have a good experience following our celebrations, but we were extremely disappointed and would not recommend the restaurant.

We had a lovely two course Sunday lunch at the Church restaurant, however they didn't have any beef left unfortunately, but roast chicken was delicious as was the pavlova for dessert.Only issue was the service wasn't the most friendly or quick compared to our previous visit about 12 months ago.The atmosphere was pretty non-existent too.

A very nice meal with warm and friendly service. Super setting, felt very clean and secure, all the right measures and checks in place. Lovely sparkling cutlery and nice tableware. Modern music too! Recommended!

Top marks for everything. Attentive service, great value, excellent steaks and a pud that was delicious. Surroundings that will surprise and delight for anyone making their first visit. Everything truly top notch, get yourself down there soon
