Duston Fish Bar in Northampton

Did like this place but past couple of times the fish has been mushy and the chips have been undercooked, disappointing

Stopped on way home, not our usual chippy and not been for a while. Great fish and chips, will be back!

Really good soft chips, nice veggie burger and fish.

Portion size is terrible!! Ask for salad as well, as you can see nothing… chips were soggy to.. won’t be going back there.

Absolutely love the chips from here. Great local chippy. Traditional store with good value prices. Also love their battered items, always fresh and not overly greasy/oily as it can be from other chip shops.

We had fish and chips last night.. everything was nice and hot and well cooked..the only trouble is it tasted of old oil..I hate to say but the meal didn't taste fresh..such a shame..

I was meant to go to the other chip shop in Duston and I wish I did. The food at this one is below average:Chips - soft and slightly soggy, no crisp to them whatsoever. The were opened within 5 mins of leaving the shop so not left wrapped up for ages.Battered sausage - was ok, crispy batter.Kebab - how hard is it to season some chicken and grill? Very apparently. Kind of felt like the chicken had been boiled and finished on the grill. Bland as hell. Poorly put together. I honestly didn't think kebabs could be this badService - can't fault very friendly and served quicklyI don't particularly like being negative about a small business but it was honestly terrible. Sorry guys.

Fish was nice but chips were awful, very dry like they had been reheated a few times, normally chips are nice but will have to rethink what chip shop to use in future

Pro's: Lovely food and good valueCon's; not what I would call Covid secure; no max number in store stated, that I could see and very little, if any, no ventilation. Ideally they should take orders at the door and ask customers to wait outside. I'm unlikely to visit again any time soon.
