Hung Fung Restaurant in Northampton

Mixed dishes for four people on a friday evening. As usual pleasant & quick service and a well cooked tasty meal. Usual high standard.

Food was superb. May just be our favourite takeaway, couldn't work out how to get food delivered though. No JE signs or anything

Poor, poor, poor, curry has a 1cm layer on oil on top, chips are dry and wrinkly, chicken balls burnt, ribs are burnt to the point they are black, chowmain meat is all fat, with 3 prawns!!!. Shocking

Used to really like it here but gone downhill lots. The satay sauce was so watery and bland. Probably won't go anymore

I ordered a takeaway from here the first time I'd ordered for 2yrs..from any takeaway an the first time from here, it will be the very last time ...since the whole meal went in the bin.i take no pleasure in this and if this review is taken down I will review it elsewhere. First off I did say when I ordered I lived in second floor apartment..she told me that was no problem...meal came rang intercom but would not deliver he flatly refused so I paid delivery an couldn't get meal unless I went into street. Then food was stone cold dire,an went straight into bin! Ifu want good food ,don't order from here ....ever!!

Food arrived quickly but it went down hill from there. Ordered chicken with lemon which means with lemon sauce from literally anywhere I've had Chinese food before, but not here it comes with a small lemon wedge which it doesn't state on the website. I called to say there was no sauce with it and this is when I'm informed it doesn't come with lemon sauce so I paid near on £6 for bland fried chicken. Also the quality of the chicken in the chicken curry is awful, I'm not completely convinced it's actually chicken. So I had very expensive rice and curry sauce. I've given 2 stars simply on the speed of delivery and the curry sauce was nice. But in all honesty I'd rather wait a bit longer for delivery and get better food. Definitely would not recommend Hung Fung!

The food is always outstanding. The salt and chili king prawns in light batter are our personal favourite. It always arrives on time and hot. Delivered with a smile as well. We love this place.Whoever gave 1 star because they wouldn't take a card needs to get a hobby or something. Rate the food and knock them down a star for the inconvenience at worse.We probably get food from this place too regularly but we are never disappointed. Best Chinese takeaway in town.

I ordered the set dinner for two at this restaurant and WOW. It was delicious! The portions are very generous and very tasty. The dining room is intimate and very well themed with Chinese lamps hanging from the ceiling and paintings depicting the Far East on the walls. All the while Chinese music plays over the speaker. I highly recommend giving the place a try!
