Pizza Express in Northampton

I booked Pizza Express for my daughter's 5th birthday party. I had booked for 8 kids but on the day there were 9 in total and the staff happily accommodated the addition. Service was really good, we were given balloons and we brought our own decor. We were also given a secluded area downstairs which is nice especially with kids running around. The kids enjoyed themselves.Thanks to Henrietta, the manager and the chefs for making the day lovely

Absolutely terrible!I had my 9 yr old nieces to stay and ordered there favourite dough balls and 2 pizzas. The pizzas were unbelievably horrid, dry, overcooked, tasteless and a complete waste of £27. I don’t understand how something so basic (as a Margarita pizza) could be ruined in such spectacular style! I ended up making ham sandwiches as the pizzas were inedible. I’d give a big fat Zero if I could. When a 9 year old criticises the dreadful dross, you know your in trouble :(Don’t waste your money!!!!!!

To be honest one star is too many.Booked a table for 1845 thinking this would be enough time to eat before the theatre at 2000. Table still not even ready at 1905. Bailed.

Dreadfully slow service! Our table was booked for 6:00, food was ordered within 10 minutes and finally came to the table at 7:15 - just minutes before we needed to leave for the theatre show which started at 7:30. Our order had to be chased after 30 minutes and changed, so there was time for it to be cooked as they hadn't even started preparing the food. There were no more than 12 customers in the restaurant... it seems priority was being given to takeaway customers. Appalling experience.

Saturday evening is a busy time. Was a bit of a wait. Food was good. Recommendations for the warm brownie and vanilla scoop ;)

Considering the AMAZING service we get at our regular Pizza Express in Market Harborough, this branch was exceptionally disappointing. We’d booked online - they had no details of the booking. They found us a table but couldn’t have been more rude about it. 45 minutes wait between sitting down and food arriving, place was half empty. A real shame, I’ve always liked Pizza Express but this branch gives the company a very bad name.

I had booked a table online a few hours earlier on the day and the restaurant did not want to honour this booking originally as they had not printed it off. Pizza Express need to sync its website in line with the restaurants bookings. Although I waited a few minutes and was able to be squeezed in. Food was good as ever. Waiting staff do need more training on how to process eGifts correctly however as I had to wait a while to get this sorted.

We visited recently as not been for over 18 months because of lockdown. The menu has changed with a lot of new dishes, so glad to see that they haven't reduced the choice like some restaurants. We both had pizzas (obviously) and they arrived very quickly, albeit they were a bit cold. We asked for the dessert menu and was advised of a few items that were not available due to supply issues. I was excited to see they have added a cheese board to the desserts and was advised it was available, so ordered it. Then I was told it wasn't available. Overall the quality of the food was good, but a bit cold. The service was quick and sometimes too quick as I felt they were rushing us as the staff seemed to want to close and go home. Generally was ok, however this restaurant never seems to keep the same staff. From the manager, waitress/waiters, to the chefs have always never stayed and replaced. Time will tell on our next visit if the staff have again been replaced and the food is actually warm.

Great restaurant for a free business night out provided by my company for free! Food was superb and service was excellent with staff polite and prompt. Food was quickly served and also piping hot and tasty would highly recommend. Parking is touch and go so leave in plenty of time to find a spot.

We had a loveley evening, service was exceptionally good. We didn't have to wait very long between courses. The waitress was brilliant, you could tell she was enjoying her job as nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely call again. A big thank you for a loveley evening.
