Visited with friends as had heard good things about Saffron.Very disappointing experience. Had to ask for drinks order to be taken and later for coffee. Was miss informed about banquet offer by staff member.Food arrived cold and the lamb was very tough.Customer Service was not as expected

Food is okay, but not sure how honest the place is. For example a papadam was marked 1£ on the menu but the hand written bill was, 5£ for 3.. it's the same with all the items. If you do go here don't forget to cross check the bill before paying. Other reviews have mentioned this too.

We'd been before a long time ago and hadn't really enjoyed it but decided to give it another chance after seeing recent reviews and I'm so glad we did.A friendly welcome, swiftly seated and very helpful and attentive staff. The food was delicious, freshly cooked and tasty.

The best Asian restaurant in the area. The staff are first rate, pleasant and discreetly attentive. The ambiance is sophisticated, giving a calm background to its customers. The menu is delightfully varied and all the dishes I have experienced are delicious. I and my friends have enjoyed our meals immensely and I would recommend anyone to dine there.

Our food was delicious however our dinner was ruined by the fact the family next to us had their phone on so loud playing kids tv at 10pm at night I would have appreciated the manager asking them to turn it down, completely spoilt our experience on the rare occasion that we get out without our own children! Also when ordering our drink I clearly pointed at the 330ml bottles on the menu when ordering but two huge bottles arrived- an unnecessary extra cost. Don’t think we will be returning :(

Food is amazing and always fresh and great quality, the one massive let down is one of the staff and it’s not a one off, he’s very rude abrupt and it’s all most like your an inconvenience. I didn’t go in to collect this time my mate did and he said the same. Shame when the team is great and the food perfect

Service is fine, however the atmosphere is kind of weird - very dark restaurant and there's a TV screen in the corner playing a loop of a couple going around a city?As for the food, both our meals were relatively bland and dry. Pilau rice the most flavourful item we had. Curries not a lot of sauce. Definitely not worth the cost of £12+ for a curry dish.

·

Disappointed. I ordered a vegetable balti. I asked the restaurant not to put a lot of onions in the curry. It was full of onions! there were two whole onions, which isn’t needed for one meal ! I couldn’t finish it, waste of money!

The food was fair Had better else where.Service was very fast like you were on a conveyer belt. Wanting you to leave as soon as possible. We booked for an early time so not to be rushed.Staff need to communicate with each other as asked several times the same question by different staff In a matter of seconds. The bill arrived before we were offered desserts!!

Delicious Indian cuisine. Great flavours and good service. Nice friendly staff.A little expensive but worthwhile for special occasions. Can get busy so book in advance.On-street parking is limited.
