The Smoke Pit in Northampton

Vibe is different, but in a good way. I can see myself returning to this place once every couple of months.Food:Was great. I had a burger with fries and my friend got a platter (which adds chicken wings and some other stuff). I finished my meal, he couldn't. At the end we payed £44 for the food and 3 Vimto's. Which is good value for money.Staff is friendly and helpful.Cocktails look fantastic, but pricey (£8+)I rate it a solid 8/10, but I wouldn't go here more than once every 2 months (to keep it special).

You know this place is going to be a bit different when you get to the front door and the door handles are made out of meat clevers. The interior is very imaginatively decorated including some of the tables being made out of giant cable reels. Our table was a cable reel, very solid and well finished so a quirky, but comfortable feature.The food is fantastic, of you like meat. Vegetarians apparently have one option, but if I didn't like meat, I wouldn't choose this place!We made the mistake of ordering a starter, nachos. Had chunks of steak with the beans, large platters that we shared. Nearly filled me up.I then went for another platter, shown in photo. This completely defeated me, but I did enjoy every bite I managed. Staff provided my with a very good take home box. There was jo surprise at this being asked for.Well worth a visit

Excellent food and great service in super surroundings. Tasty BBQ and smoked food with generous portion sizes.Book in advance as this place tends to get busy! A real asset to the Northamptonshire food scene.

Great atmosphere and decor. Very friendly service and quick food.Took them 10 minutes to take our order after telling us we might have to hurry up for other customers.Chips were 8/10 really nice.Burger was 7/10 bit dryOnion rings.... Good lord have mercy. 2/10 is being nice. I've had mushy peas with more crunch.All in all wouldn't go again but they did they're best.Please try harder.

Make sure you are hungry when you arrive. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was nice although could have been hotter. I will come back to try a burger at some point.

TSP is a vibrant, colourful place with a personality of its own. I had heard from many friends about how good it is here and I wasn't disappointed! The menus are comprehensive and there's something for everyone, I even brought my vegetarian partner and she enjoyed it! Booking in advance is crucial and we'll deserved! Can't wait to come back, thanks TSP!

I have to say I thought this place was fantastic.Went to The Smoke Pit not sure what to expect but had wanted to try it for a while.The greeting and service on arrival was fantastic, very friendly staff and was seated fairly quickly which was perfect.The menu had plenty of choice and was not as limited as I thought it may need along with a vast whiskey and drink menu.Ordered a sharing platter for 2 and a couple of sides and I had absolutely no complaints about any of the food served at all it was great and the platter could have served 3 or 4 safe to say it did not get finished much to my disappointment.I will be returning at somepoint to take this challenge on again hahahaha

First time going out in Northampton as just moved here and the smoke pit was highly recommend by work colleagues and well we were not disappointed. Amazing atmosphere,very friendly and helpful staff and such amazing food. This will definitely be our go to for when we go out .

One of my favourite places to eat ,big portions, Lovely food. Great whiskey choice and unlimited too ups with the drinks machine , (lots of choice) Been here loads of times , finally decided to review it 😂

Make sure you're hungry! Portions are big. Would recommend the Haloumi fries. Best I've ever had!Burgers were lovely too.Not cheap though. Expect to pay in the region of £30 per head.Service was excellent and really interesting decor. Well worth a visit.
