The Wig and Pen in Northampton

A real ale survivor in the heart of the city. A couple of local beers but mainly national. Nice place to visit, friendly staff

Great atmosphere in the centre of Northampton. Good burgers and beer, though funky tasting coleslaw.

Good selection of beers but service was some times poor.

Lovely wee pub, however v v slow service at bar. Would have had a few if had better service, however 10 mins wait to serve 1person in front of me meant one was enough. Lots of bar staff, all going at minimal speed with no sense of time

Nice little pub great atmosphere. Went to a live music gig there.( One night stand band ) Really good night

My second visit here and it was just as good as the first. It's a humble little pub, nice outside area that is covered and heated and the staff are just lovely. I thoroughly feel at home here.

Good food - excellent value for money. Good beer and help navigating through brews with which I wasn't familiar. Staff attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.I found everything I could expect from my visit - sadly, not a universal observation.When I return to Northampton, I will visit the Wig & Pen

I had a brilliant time. The bar staff were personable & friendly. The live band in the evening were brilliant. We joined in singing the songs & had a bit of a boogie. Would definitely go again😃

A great selection of ales.. All well kept.. We'd planned a mini tour of Northampton pubs but ended up staying
