White Elephant in Northampton

Disappointing experience yesterday. Seemed good from the outset. Had some vegan options on the menu. Ordered at the bar a few meals. After 20 mins we enquired to where our was and they said it would be 30 minutes. It actually took over one hour to arrive by which time it was nearly 10PM. We discussed this with the waiter and he claimed the bar staff(girl with tattoos on arms, didn’t catch name) had told of the delays when we ordered. No she just gladly took our money knowing full well we were not likely to get the food anytime soon as the waiter said they’d been having issues all day. Had they informed us we would have certainly not ordered.He gave us a few soft drinks on the house but really we should have been refunded.

Very family-friendly and pet-friendly pub. Great service, tidy and stylish. The kids loved the puzzles and games which you could take to your table. Snacks and water for dogs were also provided.

Lovely atmosphere. Polite staff. Table Nd Bar service. Clean toilets. Dogs welcome. Has outside seating area. Good food selection

Had a lovely family meal, tasty food served efficiently on a Monday half term evening. Kids and wife n me we all thought very good all round, thanks to all the staff.

Ordered a cocktail pitcher , got a wine carafe with 1 shot of archers, 1 shot of vodka, and the rest was fruit juice. 17th century grog isn't this watered down. Bathrooms left in a dire state, no soap during Covid.

Like this pub, brilliant outside space and friendly people. Dogs very welcome with treats and water available for your pooch. Do need to sort out the scotch though. Beers aren't bad but could be better, but generally a lovely pub

ordered food, 40 minutes later it did not arrive, asked at the bar where it was, over the walkie talkie you can hear the chef say it must have gone to the wrong table. Then the bartender says it as well. The manager tells us it was a printing error.The pub was quiet, no one was eating. And the food was very underwhelming

Lovely meal with friends. Came for Curry night, had the chicken tikka masala which was very nice and very filling, with a very very nice glass of rioja you can't go wrong! Great service also! Highly recommend!

Nice food and friendly staff but waited so long for food! Food was good when it eventually arrived but not somewhere to go for a lunch break snack. It was very quiet in the pub and we ordered food at 12.45, arrived at 1.45. and it was just toasted sandwich! A shame but we won't bother coming again.

The food was okay but didn't expect much from a Greene king, we had to wait over an hour for our food yet we only had a 1.5 hour time slot. The garden has been done up really nice. The toilets were flooded and stunk.
