Curried Away in Nottingham

Curried Away is not the same...Highly disappointed with the most recent order. This was the first order since they re-opened and the food tasted bad, the service is not what it used to be. Firstly, the order took a long time to arrive, 20 mins more than it stated on the website. Popadoms arrived all smashed.. Importantly, for the main dishes there was HALF of the amount you used to get. For £9 you will get 4 tiny pieces of chicken and lots of oil. Jalfrezi and Korma tasted the same(!), tons of garlic and lots of coriander... Onion bhajis were burned and had lots of coriander seeds in it, that was all you could taste.Some dishes such as daal makhani are not on the menu anymore, guess the new chef has no idea how to make them. Very disappointing. If you are a returning customer, you won't get the same service!

This place is shutdown during Covid. It's just some old furniture stocked there. This place should be removed from Google.

Curried Away has new owners if you tried it before and did not like it, for what ever reason please please TRY it now, Ali is one of the nicest people I have ever meet, always try’s his best to accommodate your requirements. His Chef is a fantastic cook, I have tried most things from curried away now, not once have I been disappointed, Pizza’s & Currys are GREATThey are real Connoisseurs with there Sauces.Please Please try it, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED !!!!!

Sorry to write a bad review. I believe the management and the chef was changed. Not even a single dish tasted good :-( Absolutely no salt in any of the dishes ordered. Especially chicken tandoori - really bad experience. Please try to bring old chef....

I never come to google to write reviews but I felt like I absolutely had to with this one!I got a chicken madras and Delhi egg fried rice, ABSOLUTELY gorgeous… never ate an Indian so fast before, delivery driver was cheerful and polite also… sorry about the pictures I screen shotted my videos

excellent service. ordered a mild vindaloo after strugglingto eat it i rang and explained that it wasn’t mild and theybought me a fresh mild one in 20minutes ! thank you the food was lovelydefo be ordering again :)

Its a shame the new management couldn't be honest about the fact they are new, when I specifically asked them this question on the phone. (Had they done so the disappointment may have been mitigated).We were really excited that this place had reopened, and were looking forward to the excellent food we had previously enjoyed from a restaurant-standard takeaway.But it seems the new management are more than aware they can trade off the excellent reputation of the food the previous owners had to offer, and so keeping the pretence alive that they are still involved is beneficial to their new business.The food is starkly different -leading to the obvious conclusion the chef is different, despite being told otherwise.Having said that the service was excellent, but unfortunately the food is now just average.

So excited that Curried Away are back in action, sorely missed! Leaving a review for all of the excellent takeaways in the past and slightly annoyed we have no guests or reason to order this weekend, we can't wait to start enjoying the menu again.

Had many lovely take aways from Curried Away, food has always been excellent. Reasonable priced deals but unfortunately the vegan options don't seem to be available via those.Would recommend, have recommended to friends and family and will be using again

Ordered for the first time today and OH MY GOODNESS. It was amazing. My partner and I got meal deal for 2. And the portions were huge and equally delicious.Delicious flavors. Spoke to a lovely gentleman on the phone who took care of my allergy requirements. This place is a hidden gem. Definitely going to be our regular takeaway go to place.
