Fontanella in Nottingham

Lovely Sunday lunch today. Sunday lunches are huge but very tasty. Would certainly recommend. Had the Lamb and Pork Belly which was beautiful.

Very delicious, friendly service and a nice place to be! The meat was so good!

Hardly any Veg on the Sunday dinner. I had one piece of chopped up carrot on my plate which is a shame as me and my partner really looked forward to this.

Expect to be blown away be the food. Simply put, one of the best pubs for food in Nottingham city centre. We had a bass dish and pork dish for the mains, with a strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Oh my word. My partner could not stop rapsodising over each mouthful, and by the end we just wanted more.The service is great, the beer was refreshing, and the atmosphere relaxed. Overall I recommend Fothergills as one of the places to eat in Nottingham.

Staff are lovely, beautiful setting, lovely to watch the world go by. Would have been 5 stars for the staff alone, however, ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio (£21) and It was not to my taste so ordered a gin and tonic which was over £10! I don’t mind paying but neither drink was worth the price

Absolute best Sunday roast I’ve ever had (had their apricot & lentil nut roast and my partner had the garlic & thyme chicken). So full of flavour! The staff were great, too. Very attentive and friendly.

Booking for 5. I’d say read the description of each dish carefully before ordering, the soup and my meat dish were too spicy. After we ordered dessert we waited about 1 hour 15 mins then decided to leave. Asked for a discount after the wait got £10 from £157 bill.

Usually the food is good and I value the place, however today had a salad that was really subpar - like you'd expect it at a motorway station. Some cheap lettuce thrown in with meat and bread and that was it, ingredients were missing. After suggesting to the so-called manager that their kitchen should make a bit more of an effort, got a bit of a, hmm, unconvincing and disingenuine response, asking why I had not said before (essentially expressively saying "I can't be bothered what you're saying) - which is the main reason for this review

Very nice bar in great location.....drinks and staff are excellent...only downside was the Sunday lunch,quite possibly the worst lunch I've had,but it won't put me off from returning,i just wouldn't eat here again....

I had a delicious lunch here, I recommend the mussels, they were rich and delicious. They also have a wide range of beer on tap.
