Booked a table for my husbands birthday, early bird menu looked good....we made our order...asked the older gentleman if the mains came with salad extra...his reply was very passive aggressive....non of us felt welcomed by him.....portions small, food average. Quite disapointing. Restaurant very dated.....the lady also there was very friendly , polite and welcoming. Unfortunately we will not be visiting again. I have never left a review like this before so feel like i am disrespecting the restaurant and staff....however i am just sharing our experience as honest as i can.

Welcoming, homely food, no nonsense.What more do you need?No rush to order, house red is lovely.Little ones welcome, had to adjust the pizza, no problem and she destroyed it.A fab local Italian restaurant at great prices.Thank you La Capanne.....

I love this place, it is a family run authentic Italian with delicious food at a great price. My partner and I both had 3 courses and we shared a litre bottle of red wine which only came to approx. £70 - £35 a head!

Delicious food. Has a real family business vibe to it. I had the bruschetta followed by the bistecca al pepe nero (sirloin with peppercorn and brandy sauce) and honestly the sauce is probably the best I’ve ever had. Seasonal veg served separately was also perfectly seasoned and delicious. My partner enjoyed her carbonara and my mum was also very complementary about the sauce that came with her chicken. Fairly loud inside but I quite like that, it felt cosy. Will definitely come again.

Sadly our first time going and gutted. Staff shouting at each other and told by me to stop. An older man that should not a waiter....not knowing which table to go to deliver food too..... Food smelled divine when walked in. But so let down. Recommended by my a friend of years going, shout down in mins by above service.

Fantastic value food, superb service and a great atmosphere. This restaurant serves excellent pasta dishes as well as meat courses such as steak, chicken and pork. I recommend it for a laid back meal in the week or a special occasion enjoyed in a lively atmosphere at weekends.

Beautiful decor and atmosphere with lovely music. Staff were very attentive and professional. Food portions were fantastic and the food itself was excellent, absolutely enjoyed it.We really had a good time and value was perfect, easily. Getting to have cassata ice cream after so many years was a real pleasant and delicious surprise for me too!Their brilliant desserts menu definitely needs adding to their website too!Thanks so much anyway!
