Lloyds No1 Bar in Nottingham

Me and my friend had an amazing experience drinking at this bar, heavily contributed to by the music that is a rarity for Wetherspoon's! There is a large counter with glasses hanging over, from which I ordered a quality drink that I enjoyed at a mirror-side table. The table was clean and the pub in general was a pleasant area, displaying artwork on the wall.

12 pm on a Thursday table of 4 , I ordered food for myself and a friend no issue, my other friend tried to order for him and the 4th person. This order was not allowed. This was due to the kitchen not having enough staff, they said only one person in the kitchen and therefore couldn’t take any more orders. Meaning that half of our party could not eat.This made those who couldn’t order feel very uncomfortable and chose to leave. To add, my food that did arrive was cold, and when asked for condiments they did not arrive. Very disappointed with the service and the lack of customer first attitude. Please rectify this embarrassing situation

A bit tired and in need of a *something. Very nice Pint though. Staff friendly and ready to help. Shame that Strongbow is no longer served. Strong range of real ales. Worth a visit ...

Food was good, nice and hot "good scran". The toilets are the main attraction, instead of being a generic spoons and being up loads of stairs, they are downstairs under the building!!! That's just crazy. The atmosphere is nice with lots of chatter and the decor is very good with the balcony and lighting.

Edited an earlier glowing review to mention a meal that went to table 18 instead of table 10. When, after half an hour, we asked what had happened to the food, we were told we'd ordered from table 18. Odd that the drinks on the same order made it to table 10 without a problem, then!The manager attempted to put it right, but the replacement meal was imperfectly defrosted/reheated and, in one place, was fridge-cold.They refunded that meal, but at a much discounted price (because they don't refund the cost of the drink that was ordered as part of a meal+drink promotion combo). You end up paying full price for the drink part of the combo, even though you wouldn't have ordered the drink without the meal. Shoddy.I liked this pub at one time, very much. It has gone seriously downhill since. Poor barstaff blaming customers for their mistakes; poor managers essentially short-changing customers and leaving them hungry... But with a plate-full of excuses and faux-apologies which are meant to make up for a decent pub meal. Not happy, and now wouldn't recommend.

Great service and kind staff; Was able to find a seat, and order food and drink which arrived quite quickly for a very reasonable price. The drinks were cold and fresh whilst the food was steaming and tasted great, a variety of items and deals are a great selling point for either, a night out or a casual/social lunch with friends or loved ones.

The nice person with red short hair who was serving clients upstairs was really kind. Went out of her way to get us a takeout box when her colleague chose to ignore our request.The chicken pizza was really good and enough for two.The prices are good and drinks are served promptly despite the crowds.Will definitely be back

We came to Wetherspoon to have a nice meal and chill time together.It was a bit busy with students as the Pub is in the city centre but it wasn't as loud as I thought it would be.Lovely pub with some beautiful history behind.Drinks were lovely and we didn't have to wait too long.When it comes to food it is a bit different story. I mean overal was nice but not the best.We ordered ourselves 8inch pizza which was perfect.1st Meal: Double chicken burger with fries, but unfortunately chicken was slightly overcooked and hard. It wasn't as warm as it should be.2nd Meal: Fish and Chips and again it wasn't as we expected. It was on cold side and the fish was overcooked and hard.It wasn't very hot.Next time when I come I will give another chance as it might be one of those bad days but today's we had bad experience and pretty unhappy.

Waited in the hallway to be told there's a queue outside, no sign though.An interesting JDW with plenty of rooms.I enjoyed a Nottingham Supreme for £2.25. The beer was okay, but not one I'd rush back to.A small outdoor space at the front and larger one at the back.Not a bad Spoons

Quick service, plenty of space and the food was good. Priced well as expected for a Wetherspoons.Unfortunately, quite a bit seemed out of stock when we were ordering, although still enough to choose from.
