Oakdale Chippy Bakersfield in Nottingham

We have family here from America and for us there was only one place to go for fish and chips in Nottingham. As always the fish and chips were perfect - more than happy to wait a short while to ensure food is freshly prepared. Many thanks

I called in last Friday for a small portion of chips open. The cost was towards the upper end of what I expect to pay and I was disappointed that they niether looked or tasted very appetising. They were over cooked and had an after taste which suggested that the oil hadn't been changed for a while or that it was tainted by frying other strong foods in. The chips were irregular and contained a lot of debris rather than full chips.I have taken the time to post this review because every thing else was positive about the place. It was clean and the staff were friendly but if you don't get the basics like the chips right then you won't get customers through the door.

Absolutely the best chippy. Amazing staff; so friendly and helpful.Food tastes amazing and is well worth the money.Excellent!!

This chip shop is the best in my opinion, service was amazing we had the food brought to the table like it was a resturant! Fantastic. Everything is made fresh so no soggy chips and the fish is amazing, in my opinion this chip shop tops The Cods Scallops. Keep up the good work guys the fish and chips are so good because you care and not just dishing out the food as quick as possible.

Great place to eat! Go here almost every week, never fails to impress me. Fantastic family run fish and chip shop. 10/10 would recommend

The most amazing CHIPS!!!Battered sausage, kebabs, chicken and mushroom pies, mushy peas and curry sauce. The staff are lovely and we have been back several times since...

Tried them after reading a review in the evening post and was not disappointed. Food is lovely, fresh and well cooked. They also have the nicest delivery driver I’ve ever met. Highly recommend

Great fish n chips! The owner takes real pride in what he does, and it shows in the product. There's not a lot going on in Bakersfield to be honest, but there are excellent fish and chips. 😋

We recently went to Oakdale Chippy after we saw it was NUMBER ONE in NOTTINGHAM. We were not disappointed. AMAZING food and great staff. We had fish & chips, pie and chips, chicken kebab meat. It was all really tasty and I highly recommend you try it!!
