I rarely buy takeaway because I’m ALWAYS disappointed. I’ve got caught up tonight and the family has decided on a chippy. We live in Hucknall and over the last 10 years have slowly decided not to return to any of them. Tonight we went to Phil’s and for me to review it’s got to be good! I’ve written 2 reviews in my life.Everything was delicious. Pricing was fair. Food cooked to order as advertised and lovely service. We’re all full and everything has been eaten. This is a new business and deserves our local support.

Best chip shop meal iv had for years. Don't usually have pie from a chip shop but by far the best iv ever had. Chips were spot on too! Will be going to Phil's in future 😁

Since the new owners have taken over a few weeks ago, it's a totally different place. It is like it used to be years ago. The quality of the food is a massive improvement. Plus the staff are actually happy to see you and will have a laugh and joke with you.A pleasure to visit and will definitely do so again soon!

Not sure what other people were moaning about when talking about customer service, the staff were lovely. Though there was no fish ready, they quickly cooked me a fresh one - it was delicious, and as mentioned by others the size was immense. Would happily go back.

Not impressed with the food at all. Also, I have seen a job description on indeed posted by the new owners and it is the most obnoxious advert ever: "We understand that a bright individual will have no problem grasping the basics of the job with some training. The owner of the business is a qualified pharmacist and will only employ someone who meets the standard he requires". So what if the new owner is a qualified pharmacist? Can't be a very good one if he's selling fish and chips. You self riteous, jumped up wannabe snobs.

This used to be a great chip shop before the owners changed twice! Ate from there with my niece yesterday and the chicken meat we ordered was warm and tasted undercooked, the food was absolutely terrible and we both have felt unwell since we ate the little we did. Safe to say it went to waste and we will never eat from there again!!! 🤢

To start off don't get me wrong the food is great! Best chip shop food I've tasted, however customer service is terrible I work in customer service and these people don't even smile they're so rude! Also I ordered a child's mix kebab and it was 4.50 yet a normal adults mixed kebab is the same price :s like I say can't put the food down it's amazing, but just work on treating your customers better!

Not only are the chips great chip shop chips. The family that own this shop are so lovely and their customer service is so kind. It's always a pleasure to go in here and speak with them. We have lived in the area for just over a year now and every time we visit it has been pleasant. They have also recently had a makeover which makes the place a lot more presentable too.
