Piccolino in Nottingham

Love coming here, the atmosphere is always good, the staff are helpful and friendly and the food is spot on. We were here on a Saturday afternoon and it had a nice chilled vibe. We will be back 😁

Have to say the food is bad in taste. Had a scallops for starters, looking quite promising, the Roe was just not my taste and Scallops were rubber bullets.For main I had Crab Ravioli and to be honest I've made a tastier ones in my home kitchen before.In general I agree with what other people say "average food at premium prices, could make it better myself"The Italian language and vibe is good.

Lovely Italian. Scallops were beautiful. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Certainly worth a visit if you like good quality food.

Very nice experience within a fine dining restaurant. Staff were helpful and friendly and the premises was clean. Food was good but not great. Location is excellent for those around Hockley, Motorpoint Arena, National Ice Stadium and close proximity to the train station.

Went to Piccolino for a date night. Its a lovely restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. It's perhaps a little more expensive than some other restaurants, but when you try the food you understand why. Food was absolutely amazing, my partner had lasagne, she said it was the best she'd had in years. I had rib eye, it was fantastic quality and perfectly cooked. Also the waiting staff were very good, there when you need them and not when you don't. Will definitely return

Unfortunately very average quality of food but at a higher price. All staff very friendly and accommodating. Would have been at least 4 stars if the food was good. Swordfish was smelly, normally fresh fish doesn't smell, it was the last bit so couldn't send it back without changing order. Steak was ordered with a cheese sauce that turned out to be a bit of melted cheese in a small bowl, if left more than 1 min it set again, there just wasn't any sauce in the cheese sauce. The side orders were all good even though tiny mix up that was sorted quickly and made me want to upgrade this to 3 stars.Staff = 5 starsMain meal = 1 starSide dishes = 4 starsCost compared to value = 1 starHappy to pay high prices for high quality but not for this. Not a place that makes me want to return.

Had a family celebration here, 17 of us in total. The staff and service was exceptional as was all the food ordered. Very happy with the whole evening. Big shout out to Marco and the rest of the staff.

I have to shout out the amazing service at Piccolino Restaurants in Nottingham! We visited last week after a busy summer, and we were a little nervous to take our six year old who was in a post-holiday grump.We were sat at the back with a direct window into the kitchen which kept him engrossed. The waiting staff were friendly and explained the different options, whilst keeping the little one entertained. Particular shout out to the waiter who put ketchup on his finger to pretend it had been cut in the Jamon slicer, he LOVED that.The food was amazing, very fresh and options for vegetarians, meat eaters and even gluten-free which was great to see.Our little one watched the kitchen for so long, they came out with a bag of marshmallows and he was smitten.The whole Piccolino Nottingham team needs a shout out, they were amazing! An adult restaurant, which welcome's families, amazing.

Authentic great Italian food served by Italians. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Prices are slightly higher but this is the best way to enjoy Italy without travelling during covid. Would return.

I would happily pay if it was delicious but me paying 85£ for food that I can make in the comfort of my home with all the extras and would taste 100 times better is not good.I really had high hopes for this place but unfortunately it was very very disappointing…I would suggest to change your chef or lower your prices.
