Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham

Very special occasion for us and was lucky enough to get a table last weekend. 10 course meal, too flight of wine plus £250 glass of vintage whisky ended up with a £1350 bill for to. Worth it ? Hell yes, outstanding service, awesome food experience and Sat himself is very approachable and down to earth. Been here a few times but made to feel like royalty. Yes, expensive but hey, not took a holiday for 2 years 😳😳😳😳

Best restaurant and experience we've had. Outstanding food and the staff were so friendly and warm. We stayed in their hotel too which was really unique. We will definitely come again. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable birthday

£900 cancellation fee… be warned!!Be careful of the cancellation fee. Despite stating ‘at the restaurants discretion’ I am not sure what you have to do to meet that requirement. We had to unfortunately cancel due to a member of the party being ill with terminal health problems, that we had evidence of, but Sat could not have cared less. No offer to move the reservation to another date or any empathy or understanding at all. Pure greed!

A fantastic evening! The whole experience was brilliant from start to finish. We were on the kitchen bench and WOW every member of staff was so welcoming and polite, even got to meet Sat himself. The chefs were extremely knowledgeable and took time to listen and answer our questions. We will 100% be going back and hopefully be back on the kitchen table. Yes it is expensive, but what do you expect from a 2 Michelin star?? Thank you from four very happy customers!

The food was very well designed and the service was excellent. However, a piece of plastic container chip got into the bread which came with the cheese board. I raised the concern about food safety and long story short, the manager was happy to refund the cheese board price and offered us a glass of dessert wine. But still, for a £400+ meal, this is not what we expected.

We have just had a wonderful experience and cannot praise this establishment enough. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left the staff were all so very welcoming and attentive. We were very lucky to be gifted an overnight package which included the tasting menu and an overnight stay for a joint Birthday and Wedding Anniversary present. Although the food speaks for itself, what impressed us even more was the well trained and informative staff. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and hopefully it will not be our last visit.

We had a lunch time meal yesterday 30/10/21 it it was absolutely stunning the warm welcome, staff are an absolute credit to sat! And his food is just out of this world we found taste buds I didn’t know we had! We did see sat in the kitchen and it’s nice to see the owner putting his passion in to his food and makes the restaurant brilliant! This was our first time at Sat Bains, it was an amazing experience! We were in the Necleus area. The chef was brilliant, it felt like we were sampling the food at masterchef! The food was out of this world. Definitely recommend it for a special occasion.

A most incredible experience, celebrating Glynn's 60th birthday. Sat and Amanda have developed a beautiful warm welcoming restaurant that is a peaceful haven next to the river. From the moment we arrived, everything was above and beyond our expectations. The staff were amazing in particular, Innes, Alessia and Francesca who were the key people looking after us during our visit. The food was out of this world; the flavours, combinations and attention to detail were exquisite. Alessia's knowledge of the accompanying wines was very impressive and added to our enjoyment of the meal. Aleassia and Francesca politely humoured our attempts at chatting to them with our broken Italian. The high standards of food continued with breakfast the next morning. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. We cannot thank everyone enough for making this such a special occasion.

Wow! I don't have many other words to describe RSB. It was an incredible experience from start to finish - the staff were brilliant, the room was great and the food was just amazing. It's obviously not cheap but it was an experience that I'll remember forever. It's really worth saving up for.
