Sarangchae Korean Restaurant in Nottingham

The food was pretty good and our server was friendly. However, they allowed us to book a table close to their closing time but started to rush us out, which felt a bit uncomfortable. And, not serving tap water is illegal. The reason they give is because they don't want to give out cups, but ordering a beer and canned drinks, we still got cups given to us.

Absolutely delicious and amazing! It was my first go....BUT NOT THE LAST! I can guarantee you that! Worth it all! Small chilled restaurant with a huge impact in delicious food! I am telling you.....YOU MUST GO!

I went for lunch today and ordered chicken bibimbap. It was incredible, I can't wait to go again! The staff were friendly and gave great service and the servings were a very good size, definitely worth the money. Recommend if you're looking for a place to eat in Nottingham! :)

I book table for 2 to say I love you to my partner who love Korean food.SARANGCHAE means I love you.Food is great.You better book table as it is busy.I think International students love authentic taste of Korean food. Lunch time at Sunday was full of customers what make us happy.Decor could be a bit updated as it's does looks like more takeaway place although we love food.Big portions.

Is it just me or do all Koreans like their soup piping hot?🙋‍♀️After a meeting in Nottingham, I went to Sarangchae for a lunch. The interior decoration was simple and it’s like the traditional family run restaurant in Korea.Sarangchae📍 278-280 Huntingdon St, Nottingham NG1 3NAWHAT I GOT🍲Kimchi Jjigae with kimchi dumplingsJjigae is a Korean stew and usually served in a pot. I love seeing the Jjigae boiling hot when it’s served. So warm and satisfying The Jjigae included kimchi, kimchi dumplings, tofu, vermicelli noodles and served with rice. Some pork belly were used to make the soup more tasty. It’s spicy, hot and fabulously piquant 😋How about the kimchi dumplings? You can stop searching - you just found (probably) the best Korean restaurant in Nottingham. There are veggie, vegan and gf options. A HUGE range of dishes. Staff were friendly, and the food was served as soon as it was ready and you could really appreciate the freshness. The inside decor is modest, but the food, service and table wear shine through.

Food was amazing, we needed something quick and easy to eat. It was a last minute booking but they were very nice and got us sorted 😊

food was absolutely good. 2 stars off because of the rude staff. service was unpleasant. their rappoki is to die for! bibimbap is good as well.
