The Cods Scallops (Mansfield Road) in Nottingham

Ordered my meal online. Made a mistake and chose the fish without batter but flavoured with lemon and garlic. My son loved it. I picked the meat pie. Absolutely delicious and homemade with different veg added, so tasty. The chips and peas were also very good. I love the ordering system and didn't have to wait too long once I arrived.

Oh Dear, Got home after a long wait in the shop to find my order was missing someone's dinner. Worse still the rest of us could not eat because everything else was very well cooked to say the least. Battered cod was crispy dry and still had remnants of cod inside not your best effort Cod's Scallops.Have been offered a refund and complimentary meal so may still give them another go. Guys there are some great chip shops in Notts so up your game. I still think Fish Express is a great alternative but may be giving the 'Cods', a miss for a while.

Tasty fish n chips. One of the best haddock fish I've eaten. Crispy chips the way they should be. Did like their own brand ketchup too. Would have brought a bottle if a better price. Pity they didn't have any salad cream though. Mushy peas and chips portions are a bit small for price ( £2.50 for 2tbsp mushy peas is a lot!). Vegetarian friendly. Faultless fast n friendly service.

Fish is really pricey here. I don't why fish is expensive now.Service is normally slow. But the food is generally nice. Only dined in a couple of times. I have got take away from here maybe 3 or 4 times before and the food is always nice.It's a shame they don't do the battered shrimp anymore.

Fish and chips: It's undoubtedly the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. The fish is crispy on the outside with fresh and juicy flesh on the inside. It is mouthwatering to even think about it. I would never missed this restaurant during my visit in Nottingham.The portion of the chips are a lot. You may want to consider ordering the fish a la carte if you're not that into chips.

Calm and cozy restaurant, We tried the lunch special, cod and chips with the green sauce and mayo.. Food was very delicious and we enjoyed it..

Always enjoy eating here, everything I’ve eaten has arrived fresh and crisp, the staff are lovely and the restaurant clean and inviting.The cod is only slightly outmatched by the homemade chips 🤤

Fish was really tasty and very filling. Excellent menu with a range of items to choose from including drinks. The restaurants own 'Scale Ale' was a great along side the fish. It was not busy when we went with plenty of tables. Staff serving were very friendly and attentive, checking back that everything was OK after receiving the food. Good attention to detail with restaurant theme from lobster pot lights to octopus wine bucket. Just adds to the experience of eating there.
