Big pub great parking friendly staff good selection of beers didn't try the food though

Always a great locals pub and great carvery

First time I have been for a caravery at the fox, and it was so nice, could not fault it, one of the best carverys I have had, and all the staff were lovely made you very welcome.Second time now that I have been for a caravery at the fox and what can I say it was absolutely beautiful and the staff are brilliant.

Why would even serve people?We come in ....very rude lady at the bar. Not even allowed to eat outside in garden or around pool area. What's the point of all free space!!!We do not appreciate the attitude or be coming there ever again.Lucky we got lovely Nuthall pub not far and made our evening !!!!

Not usually a fan of Pub grub establishments but this one is OK and quite enjoy popping in for a few pints, catch up with old friends and maybe watch some sports, nice mix of customers and ample outside seating areas and plenty of parking, friends say the meals are pretty good value, so all round its a good family Pub

Went in for a funeral wake 06/04/2022. Only went there as family recommended the pub. I got engaged there years ago and had a party. Great owners them days... Heard good reviews about it so went with the flow of recommendations. What idiots we were. The landlord does not know what fun is. Yes swearing out of order but for two cousins enjoying themselves to be threatened by the landlord when nothing ‘really’ untowards happened and for him to rebuke parents with nastiness is beyond belief….. please think again before having a wake or celebration at the fox pub, Valley Rd in case of a minor incident. Landlord ‘must have been on a ‘mmenstral’… Lest be said for he was rude in the process. Think about the money that was spent in his pub with the amount of family that was there from 2:30 - 6pm. No appreciation and he spoilt what was a sad celebration……… well done landlord of the Fox, Valley Road, Basford, Nottingham…. I certainly won’t be recommending the pub……

Don't like the tea or coffee, and the food I had was a hunters chicken toastie, the meat was over cooked couldn't chew it ,

Clean, accommodating staff for my father who couldn't walk very well. Great service, lovely staff who have the perfect balance of communication. They will engage you in conversation if you want or leave you alone if you want.

Lovely big space, friendly staff, excellent NYE DJ was dancing all night hoping they have regular DJ sessions there because I will definitely go!
