We booked a meal on Saturday to be told new chef started only Wednesday, we were pleasantly surprised, nice presentation lovely tasty food , we came with our elderly mother , definitely will book again , well done chef

Turned up just before 4pm were told they would still take our order. Ordered our food and drinks, waited 40mins for food, asked about our food order and were told they didn't know anything about our order because the lady who took the order had finished for the day.

In 'normal' times this is a great pub for drinks and serves an excellent typical pub menu. During the recent months m, they offer fab takeaway food. Pre order is advised as can get busy.

Lovely pub, lovely staff. Food tastes great but the portion sizes are so small. Paid £12 odd for pie and chips. Pie was delicious but I got 8 chips no peas. Ridiculous price for a tiny meal. Went home and made a cheese sandwich.

Came for lunch today. Food arrived to table promptly. Steak & Guinness pie & the gravy were both really nice, chips not so nice (tasted ok but soggy texture) & no vegetables were included in the price of the meal. Lady serving hadn't been made aware that the pub is listed on a discount app & therefore didn't know how to use it, but that wasn't her fault. She was very friendly though, and did apply a discount, so good customer service skills. And the pub has a lovely, 'proper local pub' atmosphere, so I would visit again.
