Pretty good breakfast. Service is friendly but not the most professional. Cutlery is often dirty, staff blame the dishwasher.

Proper menus for food are at the far end of the bar. I had two decent pints of ale in here but had a bit of a wait to get served. As the gent behind me put it .."thought it was polite to queue, but everyone keeps jumping the queue to order food!". Despite that this is a decent place to sit, sip and relax a bit away from work etc.

Dirty tables, we had to get a cloth and spray abandoned on a nearby table to clean up. We also cleared our table. Flat drinks. Which we took back to a very rude barman. Then pizza came, garlic mushroom, and it was spicy, blew my head off. I immediately took it up and the staff refused to believe it was spicy! Just denied it would be. It was contaminated with chilli somehow, but they kept saying it wasn't, like my taste buds were faulty. After I insisted I got a fresh one.I mentioned this to a few people, and they were "well spoons in Bulwell, what do you expect?'I have friends in Bulwell and I expect a level of cleanliness, politeness and quality everywhere I eat. Yes it's cheap but there is no excuse.

Today the service was quick and the food was lovely, sorry I didn't order the bigger breakfast. I had the traditional one it was really nice.

A Spoons of character. Medieval format displaying history of William Peverel and the history of Bulwell which was mentioned in the Doomsday book. Oak panelling, large fireplace, banners, shields and stainless glass association to 'Robin Hood.

Title: What a blessing to live close to a local Whetherspoons :)Dishes:Have good portion size and are reasonably priced (most of the main dishes are between £4-£10).❤️ their Full Veggie Breakfast, Lamb Shank with Mixed Veg, 8oz Steak, Buttermilk Chicken Breast & Burger etcHad a big family Christmas Dinner in Dec 2018 too, glad we all enjoyed the main dish, dessert and the atmosphereDrinks:Alcohol are pretty affordable, also a bonus when a drink is included in the meal (normally around £6-£9)The self serving hot drink machine is a god sent! Absolutely adore the Flat White, Cappuccino, Espresso Shot! Each and every sip just brightens up the day lol (especially during winter)Definitely recommend and will visit again!
