Fayre and Square Horse and Hounds in Oadby and Wigston

The service was great - we were served by a number of waitors during our stay at the neighbouring hotel and all were friendly. Eve at breakfast was particularly helpful when we had a few special requests. The food was nice but not amazing - fairly standard for the price. Good atmosphere.

Tired, worn decor and never seems busy. Food pricey for what you get. Standard basic pub food that's likely microwaved and a few items grilled. Drinks bar good however, although never seems to be anyone on the bar and I've experienced long waits. Nice outdoor play area for kids and ample off road parking. It's ashame as i suggest it needs an injection of fresh paint and atmosphere.

Had the Sunday lunch today.roast beef. it was the best I’ve had in a long time.will be returning soon. Had a really nice waiter called Josh he couldn’t do enough for you. Thank you for a really nice time 😊

Treated ourselves to an overnight stay at Premier Inn, and dinner at the Fox Pond. The staff were friendly, and very efficient. Lewis, our server was great. The food was lovely. We'll definitely be back

We came for breakfast today. It was excellent value for money and delicious. Our server, Eve, was lovely and very polite. We would definitely recommend this place.

Just had an enjoyable lunch, hot and fresh and excellent value. Our waitress Shaniya was so friendly, polite and nothing was to much trouble. We will be back.

I celebrated my 60th birthday twice here. The staff were excellent and the food was delicious

First meal back here for 3 years after a previous poor meal on a busy Sunday. Gave the breakfast a go and shouldn't have bothered. Considering there were only around 4 other tables in the restaurant the food was awful, burnt and cold. Kids breakfast arrived with a tea spoon of cold beans and a sausage that resembled an old leather boot.Service was OK and complaints listened to by staff which was reflected on the bill (fair play).Won't be bothering again in future. Lovely place. Awful food.

Absolutely dreadful service and food tonight. The chicken was raw and pink all throughout. The service that we received from the two girls and the manager that where on shift was disgusting. No respect for customers. Whilst speaking to member of staff regarding the raw chicken, she was stood scrolling through her phone. Never even apologised about it either. This place has gone so downhill it is unbelievable. Good luck, cause you will certainly need it.** edit ** - and to top it off the manager then proceeded to come over and kick off with me regarding my review and practically telling me to take it offline. Was very rude and ignorant.

The breakfast service was amazing. The service was fast asleep mand my family came for the brunch part the steak and eggs were amazing and my mum reviewed scrambled eggs and mushrooms to be amazing. Great service
