Pretty good food, but there was some trouble communicating our order to the waiting staff.

Awful!!!!!! Never again!! Butter chicken was full of red dye with no creamy taste. No heat or substance.Chicken Bhuna…. Same! No spice or flavour.Worst curry I’ve ever tasted and cost over £30 for two of us!! Totally bland and even onion bargees were dry . Don’t go there!!

Me and my wife visited tonight and it was a so shocking we were actually laughing.First of all we were seated in what seemed to be a cupboard with hot air being blown in. We were moved out into the restaurant after complaining and got prime position to see the shambles unfold. Staff seemed stressed beyond stressed, people were leaving because of waiting times for food, staff were bickering and did not seem interested in even being there. No friendly service, blunt service at best. Then the food…Mixed sharing starter and the chicken was raw on the inside, we showed one of the servers and they took it away and told us we could have a fresh one, we declined and were told they were so busy that they are rushing food out. We said we would stay for the main to see what that was like as it was a rare occasion that we got a chance to go out so we thought we would see.Mains came out and the naan was delicious, that’s all that was good though. Lamb was dry, tough and had no flavour. Prawns were boiled too much and were like rubber. The dishes were oily and pretty tasteless. We were told good things about this place but it was truly the worst food and service we have ever experienced.I don’t know if this is out of the ordinary for the place but it certainly will not be getting a second chance from us.They tried to charge us for the returned starter as a final kick in the teeth, this was knocked off after complaining though.

Took nearly 45 mins for drinks to arrive, when they did they were flat and some of the drinks didn’t arrive at all. The staff were rude and the service was poor. We were sat in a small section away from the main restaurant with hot air constantly blowing and the staff struggled to change the settings. Our dietary requirements were ignored. We left before the food arrived. It was such a bad experience it was laughable.

We ordered masala wish which was disgusting. The special meat dish was also tasteless, full of uncooked tinned tomatoes . The only saving grace was the naan.

So tasty! Special mention to the Bombay fish and Manchurian chicken 👌

Visited Swatlands on the last day of the eat out to help out scheme. We have been several times over the years and the food has always been good, however we felt that on this visit it whilst it was nice food it certainly would not have been worth the full price that would have been charged if the special offer was not in place. There is another Indian restaurant not far away from Swatlands and we would definitely choose to go there in future.

Food excellent, service excellent. Well timed, no rush. Everything was made fresh! They went out of their way to cater for vegan and everything came up very tasty.I’ll definitely go back.
