The place is a old, tired and in need of refreshing: Wallpaper is peeling off the walls in places and there were cobwebs on the light fittings. The menu is limited and they do not serve dessert. The waiter didn't have much advice about items on the menu and their draft beer had a mild taste of vinegar. So overall a very poor first impression. That said, if you're in the mood for a cheap, Bangladeshi-style meal with a home-cooked flavor then their chicken jalfrezi was delicious. Has potential if they worked on improving their front of house.

Do not have the tandoori mix grill... dry chunks of chicken, 2 bits chicken on bone and a skinny sausage thing.. no lamb, no prawn, no taste... sorry but it was awful

Used to be a great restaurant, but declined in recently and now closed perminantly. Re-opened December 2019 as the fantastic Gorkha 8848 under new management.

so amazing. i ate the food so fast i couldn’t finish it. tasted absolutely amazing & it arrived 10 mins early which was great. generous portion sizes & nice spices
