George's Tradition - West Bridgford in Rushcliffe

West Bridgford - Food was ok but staff were as miserable and rude as ever and one actually rolled his eyes when asked to correct his mistake. To top it off all three of us who ate from there last night now have the s**ts!

Had the lunch meal deal. The price has gone up considerably over the last couple of years but the portion size is good if you don't want to end up podged.

By far one of the best chip shops around. Amazing food every time and fantastic staff. There speciality gravy is immense. If your ever in the area pick up some grub from this outstanding chip shop, you won't be disappointed.

Good portions of chips, decently cooked fish. Meal deals to help bring cost down.I personally travel a near 15 mile round trip because I rate this chip shop higher than others.Can do click and collect tooDownsides, you pay slightly more (not extortionate), for the quality. And I've never seen it not busy.

I liked this chip shop with tasty food and fish but I got to say, it is very expensive.A meal for a family of four would make me think twice of visiting.The chip shop was one of the fairest places to eat back in the days but now the British staple has come in to the league of restaurants in terms of pricing.

Started out well but deteriorated: unfriendly place, too much packaging, queing system not good, fish and chips don't taste that great. Too corporate now, not enough care taken, resting on their laurels - other local chippy's are much better .

Portion sizes are so hit and miss, more miss than hit. Very measly and I’m still hungry after ordering large. It’s so disappointing. It’s the only chip shop that serves portions and I’m still hungry afterwards. I’m definitely not greedy either. I’m not going to go back. It’s happened too many times

The staff are very polite, but tried to pass off haddock as cod. I ordered a large cod and chips, and went for an extra large. The portion size of chips was no different to a standard large, and I'm pretty sure I was given a small haddock rather than a large cod. Either that or the cod was old as it tasted very fishy for cod. Seems that this is something they've done a few times based on other reviews, and it's not the first time I've been scammed on portion size when going large. The mushy peas weren't great either. For "mushy" peas there were a lot of very firm and what seemed to be undercooked peas in the mix. Most of the food went in the bin. The time before this my fish was full of bones, and I've also had a pie recently which had barely any filling in it. I don't know if you've changed supplier or have someone new who preps the food? You used to be an excellent chippy and you're only down the road from me. I've been a customer for some time now so I'll give you one more try and then it's time find a new chippy. Hopefully I've just been unlucky last few times.

I usually like the food but the last 2 weeks the chips have been mainly small, chewy and too greasy. Love the app to book n buy. The fish n mushy peas are great but I'm going back to the Wolds, sorry.
