Hopkinson in Rushcliffe

I have gripes with things but the hospitality in the cafe and on the shop floor etc are wonderful. Robs Cameras is the place of dreams here. To get film cameras fixed or to buy refurbs and so on for really fair prices, this is the place. The whole building is listed and it shows which is beautiful. I would love to see more of the maturer ages working within the cafe as I remember seeing a job ad that pointed towards a certain age range here which made me feel a bit annoyed as ageism is often ignored and overlooked. This in fact was and to a small degree, still is, my only gripe.

Very interesting place some fascinating things to be found there plus trip to Haunted Museum well worth visiting. Even saw a ghost and have evidence! The one with the hearse there was only me and my niece in the room so no other reflection possible

After reading lots of positive reviews about this place we were greatly looking forward to our visit. Sadly, for us the place was massive disappointment. Not as big as we were expecting, not enough to look at, and, with the exception of one or two traders, the stuff was very overpriced, especially the record stall, that didn't even seem to have a punk section!95% of the clothes were the same as you will find in ANY charity shop at a fraction of the cost.We didn't do the cafe,or the ghost thing, didn't need a tattoo or an old camera fixed, so cannot comment on those, but if like us you're coming just for the antiques/collectables, I would say there are better shops in Newark, Grantham, and Matlock. And there's also the fantastic Heanor antique centre, 4 floors crammed with goodies. (no,I don't work there!)

Very nice coffee shop/bar and antique centre all in one. Friendly staff and a great place to browse and then sit and chill.

Went to the haunted museum well worth a visit

Some great bargains with a real Aladdin's Cave vibe! You can spend hours on the various floors, and when you need a snack just head to the Café & bar on the ground floor.Nottingham's answer to Afflecks Palace!

Came in for food and drink at Hop. But unfortunately picked the wrong day. Staff at Hop were lovely and friendly, explained that they are undergoing maintenance.Still though, hot chocolate with cherry/strawberry was heavenly. The 'brookie' brownie cookie was delicious. Didn't taste too much of either, and wasn't overwhelming with the chocolateyness that some brownies have an issue with.Can't wait to go again. Will update as I go!Am yet to check out the rest of the store. But I will.

Great place to browse round and who knows what you might find! Had a lovely lunch at the bar too.

What is there not to like? Enchanting place with something for everybody. Amazing staff. Great food and drink served with a smile. Great haunted museum of ghosts. Thoughroghly enjoyed my time. And so convenient right next to the station. Recommended.

What a great venue. Good food and drinks. Great atmosphere. What better than to go browsing the antiques on the way to the loo.
