Nice meeting place for groups, plenty of seating and staff happy to pull tables together for larger groups. Food is very reasonably priced with choice of carvery , pizza or varied menu, also caters for children quite well.

Loved our day out.but more so enjoyed our meal.it was fantastic. Best thing that makes it even better. The Staff were just fantastic. So A Big Big Thanks.fully recommended

We had our Christmas Dinner here and we're not disappointed. Staff were very attentive, really good portions and tasty food. Only thing I would like to have included, would be a vegan roast instead of the tart. But very nice and will visit again soon. 😊

We went for something to eat and brought our dog with us. I did book in advance to make sure the excepted dogs. They made us and the dog very well, also brought Bella a bowl of water. Thank you very much Shepherds

I booked shepherds as an after school treat for my daughter.Wish I hadn't..!!The roast potatoes were rock hardThe stuffing balls were more like cricket balls... also rock hard!!!And the pork and turkey appeared to have been under the heat lamps that long it could hardly be carved it was that dry...

This is a lovely warm pub. It was pretty quiet when we went, which was nice for a few drinks and a bite to eat. All the food was very good. I had the Works Carvary and have to say it was great value. Plenty of meat with the added pigs in blankets. A decent selection of veg and potatoes and some lovely gravy. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. The even had a selection of alcohol free beers for our designated driver.

Good service. Good quality food at a reasonable price. Nice breakfast and Carvery. Would have given it 5 stars if they had more than one real ale on drought.

Great staff that work there, very friendly. We had a turkey and stuffing wrap and we both enjoyed that. What was a big let down was the starters. We had a selection of 4 for something like £12.99, I have to say that these are very disappointing for the money. One dish was salt and pepper mushrooms. I'd say it was 3 mushrooms cut into chunks and battered. Calamari strips, same thing probably 4 calamari rings cut in to bits and battered. All the starters came in little round dishes, and each one could have probably could have taken the same amount of food again. It's not this pubs fault it's the group I suspect. But essentially it's just tubs of batter and sauce. There isn't enough of the product to actually taste what it is that your eating.

I went for breakfast on Friday last week and was to say the least surprising, not only in the quality of the food but in the fact that it wasn't over cooked or poorly prepared.The choices were limited but perfectly adequate... I will go back again and would recommend this as a great value place to eat.
