"Nestled in the heart of the community, catch up over an expertly kept pint of cask ale, a G&T or a glass of Prosecco. If you’re feeling peckish tuck into a pizza, a fajita or one of our hearty pub classics, cooked with care. With a warm welcome and something always going on, we’re proud to be part of the fabric of the local area."

I had my Dad’s wake at Meadow Covert as it was a convenient point for all. Easy to find for a couple who did not know the area also. We had previously been to a wake there so we knew what to expect. It did not fail to live up to expectations!!! The food was of a high standard, service was excellent and it was of a fair price. Highly recommend the MEADOW COVERT.

Went for drinks with some friends and the food was delicious, cheap drinks and such a lovely atmosphere! Our waitress was Hannah and she was so an asset to the pub, she treated us like royalty and never stopped smiling😄She definitely deserves some recognition for her hard work! Will be returning again soon 🔜

Delicious chick pea and sweet potato curry, good fish and chips at a good price. Made very welcome by Jan and Kim.

Table far to small for 4, maybe regulars are borrowers? The steak was mainly gristle - the bits that wasn’t were very hard and dry. There was also a strong taste of cheese in the steak - not what I expected nor enjoyable. Partners meal was awful and very watery - almost as if it’s defrosted in the tray, but who knows. Heating was broken and made for an uncomfortable environment. Grandmas meal was uneatable and did not resemble the advertised “Katsu curry”. Can’t fault the staff who were apologetic but I’ll never be going back. Not your usual Greene king experience. I’m off to maccies to get something edible

Met with a friend to catch up, nice lunch with good pub menu including Pensioner lunches. Good quality, smiley staff, clean toilets and cosy comfy tables layout.

We recently used the Meadow Covert to hold the wake after my grandfather's funeral. Louise and the team helped us plan out the event, where we selected the silver level menu. Prior to the funeral, everything was confirmed so that on the day we knew we were in safe hands. The wake was a complete success, with the team on hand to ensure we didn't have to worry about anything. The food was spectacular with a varied selection of delicious dishes and in ample quantities. After the day, we had a number of the attending mourners compliment us on what had been provided through the Meadow Covert. My Mum and I would like to thank everyone at Meadow Covert for their kindness and hard work with making a distressing time effortless. We both fully recommend them.

We went for dinner as a group of 4 a few days ago. We have been many times before as it is our local pub. I’m sad to say it was a terrible experience and we won’t be going again. Even though it wasn’t busy our starters took an hour to arrive. The mains took another hour to arrive. One meal was completely wrong (they insisted we had ordered what they incorrectly brought) and the steak was cold and had no sauce to accompany it, so we sent those back. The steak was reheated which made it well done instead of medium rare, and my meal arrived after everyone else had finished theirs. The bacon was so fatty and chicken had a “jellied” texture, so gave most of it to my daughter’s dog, who was with us. My meal came without the advertised coleslaw. We were offered a refund on our starters and two free desserts. However this did not make up for the dreadful experience we had, with no words of customer care or apology.

Half a cup of coffee. Already had a proper sized one. Asked two staff about the coffee and one Staff member said I didn't make it. Surely adding hot water is not too difficult. Children's dessert came without the strawberries which were on the menu and requested.Compliments to the chef as the meals were lovely.
