Oh joy! This place was an absolute delight. I was serviced by the most amazing barman who was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a good chuckle with some quality banter which was refreshing after my abysmal week! Didn't get his name admist all the chaos and tomfoolery but he was a young chap, tall build and was local. Give this guy a raise!

Called here for a meal tonight only to be told by the bar tender " we don't do meals in the evenings but we might be doing again soon". Thanks to the Keyworth Tavern who provided me with a lovely rump steak & a nice pint of Harvest Pale

Last Saturday ( 27 May ) twenty-nine of us enjoyed a lunch at the Peartree. It was a very happy carefree occasion with very good food and the most attentive and caring service. The staff really put themselves out to ensure we all enjoyed ourselves and they succeeded. The only downside is that some of us will have to diet as the sticky toffee pudding was not as low cal as I kidded myself. Congratulations to a first class team.

Prawn cocktail not any like I'd had before, just prawns on bagged leaves with mayonnaise not marie rose sauce on top and thin slice of white bread when advertised with bloomer bread. Meat in pie very tough and chewy, hand cot chips!!! Uniform size thin potato discs quite greasy and tasteless. I can only give this two stars because the service was excellent.

Very nice. A quiet place for the moment, which is perfect for an afternoon lunch break. Tidy menu but very tasty. Good pint of beer. Will certainly drop in every time I visit nearby British Geological Survey. (Years ago, this pub would have been full of their staff).
