The Poppy and Pint did an AMAZING job at providing an excellent service for my now Hubby and I's wedding this week. The function room was transformed into a beautiful reception venue, the food was exquisit (both the sit down wedding breakfast and the buffet) and the staff were all very friendly and professional. Managers James and Chelsea were so helpful from day one at suggesting ideas and giving us plenty of opportunity to come to the venue and work out what we wanted. I couldn't of asked more from Chelsea in terms of her providing the perfect day for us! We will be forever grateful to the poppy and pint for providing us and our guests with such a magical day! I would totally recommend this for anyone's wedding day!!

Smashing dinner. Can recommend the fish &chips, the Thai fishcakes and chilli cheese. Have a great selection of beers too. Excellent service. Will need to return.

It's friendly, quite big with lots of room. One end is for families and children. Good menu & seems like home made food. Second time I've been. Would go again.

This place makes a very good 'local.' The beer is great, the food is great, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. There is a large selection of real ales and craft beers which change regularly. What more could you want.....a nice patio beer garden out the back!!

I love this place! My friend & I went for lunch here after a walk by the river. The staff are friendly, cheerful & welcoming. There is plenty of airy seating. We had wraps at lunchtime, which were fresh & delicious & extremely good value for money. The menu is extensive & the daily specials looked interesting, lots of veggie options. I only wished that I wasn't driving that day as I would have so liked a Harvest Pale to go with it :-)
