This small pub is everything you are looking for: good beers, very good traditional food, clean and kind staff.We came here just because we were passing through the A46 at lunch time but we felt so lucky to find this spot. I had a fish and chips but I swapped the chips with a salad. The fish was perfectly battered, lovely mushy peas and the salad was asian style, so refreshing. My partner had the pork belly- which was cooked to perfection.

The Royal Oak at East Bridgeford has to be one of my favourite Pubs in the whole of England. Mark and Sarah are fantastic hosts who always make you feel welcome. The food is always beautiful and well made. There aren't many places where you can say I have never had a bad meal but this is true of the Royal Oak. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff who are very attentive and are a credit to the establishment.

Just had lunch here with family and sports club friends. Excellent food and great friendly service. Highly recommended and will be back soon.

Good local pub. Well decorated in and out. I visited after walking In the area. Excellent pint of Harvest Gold. Made very welcome. Noted they served food but didn't indulge. Toilets were very clean. Screens for sport. Off street parking was good.

Visited on a Monday evening after another local pub didn't have cask ale, clean, warm, friendly and enjoyable. Beer appears well kept. Staff at the time were exceptional. Would visit again and try the menu.

I ordered fish and chips off the Sunday menu and it was the best fish and chips I've ever had. Fab.u.lous. Service was friendly and they didn't keep hassling us. Overall thoroughly enjoyed and recommended. Good value for money.
