This is something else. This is perfection . This is the division between your local pub food and what amazing fine dining is.From the greeting on arrival to seating - the amazing food that’s the best for miles around. The attentive staff. The lady working at the bar that never stops working who is always checking and polishing glasses.Thankyou Ruddington Arms. You’ve made my Dads birthday perfect. From start to finish. What an amazing experience.

Had below expected experience this evening after being a loyal customer for 5+ years. Bad service and bad food, I hope it is not a trend!

Passing through the area and stopped for lunch. Smart gastropub interior. My soup was far too salty for my taste and I didn’t finish it, though my partner’s soufflé was delicious. The mains were good, I had the beef Wellington, and the baked Alaska dessert especially fab. Also good local ale.

I love this place & the food. However do not go for breakfast, we have spent over £200 on our last two visits and not treated very well. The first time the food was late coming out and then we were told our table was booked and we would have to move and this wasn't our fault. The second time all of the food came out cold and no one likes a cold poached egg. The issue seems to be the service, which doesn't seem very well organised. A real shame for a great pub where we have had many lovely times in the restaurant in the evenings but breakfast and the service has put us off going back now.

Went here for lunch at the weekend. Got there about midday and the place was mega busy by 2pm, which is clealry because it has such a great reputation. We had the Chateaubriand for 2 which was perfectly cooked and the service was attentive and friendly. I can see why this restaurant came so highly recommended and we'll definitely go there again.

First impressions were good, lovely welcome by staff, however the food was very average. I had pork dinner, the pork was cut like a big fat pork chop and was fairly dry and hard to cut, the gravy was watery and lacked flavour. My husband had the surf and turf which at £23 was pretty awful, I wanted him to say something about it, but he didn't want the fuss. It wasn't the worst meal we have ever had out, but we would not go back again.

Lovely Sunday dinner & sticky toffee pudding. Kids dinners are a little small though.

Visited the Ruddington Arms at the first opportunity when lockdown rules relaxed. Love the premise of the pub and the food didn't disappoint, personally. The service was attentive and the variety of the food on order was certainly more interesting than the usual pub grub fare. The scollop and crispy chicken skin starter was a highlight (as shown below)A friend of mine did have to return their steak due to it being overcooked, which knocked our eating times off a bit kilter but our server did so happily, without us feeling awkward but otherwise we had a very enjoyable experience.
