The Shepherds in Rushcliffe

We have been here several times previously for a quick carvery meal and been very satisfied but this last visit was a little disappointing, we hadn't pre booked (but we never had previously) the lady who greeted us was quite unwelcoming , said there were only 2 tables left and did this grudgingly, they had a fault with the beer cooling system, so there was no draugh beer,larger or cider available but as we don't drink these that was no concern to us. There were more tables vacant than there was being used so I can only presume that they were reserved for a much later time. Due to the lack of beer etc I would of thought a more warmer reception for people wanting to eat there would have been more welcoming . This member of staff let the team down big time as the gentleman serving the carvery was lovely.Will think twice before returning.

Good food great value for money friendly family atmosphere well worth a visit

Had breakfast. Able to take my dogs in - bonus.Clean Environment. Food plentiful & continually kept topped up. Pleasant service, good value for money. Will definitely return, and recommend to my customers. Well done.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.I have allergies and they spent a lit of time helping me pick.One server even got special vegetables and gravy from the kitchen. Thank you very much you guys.Nicely decorated too.

Went for a Sunday carvery was charged kist over £10 for a standard. Was so shocking frozen Yorkshire puddings, frozen roast potatoes, frozen veg which there wasn't much choice of. Not worth the price for the little effort put in to making it decent. Especially when farmhouse inns do all fresh for less price

What a lovely little place right in the middle of nowhere, also comes with added attractions

The lady that served us was very lovely, however the food provided was incredibly poor. I order a bacon cheeseburger, which came dripping in grease, zero flavour and it tasted like the meat wasn’t good. Avoid the food from here, awful. It’s only a two star for the nice service and the full refund.

Cheap and very tasty carvery. Great staff. Excellent location with large car park and large outside seating area. I always have a great feed and good drink. Brilliant place. 😋😋😋

Nice meeting place for groups, plenty of seating and staff happy to pull tables together for larger groups. Food is very reasonably priced with choice of carvery , pizza or varied menu, also caters for children quite well.

I went for breakfast on Friday last week and was to say the least surprising, not only in the quality of the food but in the fact that it wasn't over cooked or poorly prepared.The choices were limited but perfectly adequate... I will go back again and would recommend this as a great value place to eat.
