The Test Match is a stunning building, and one of a very small number of Art Deco pub interiors in England, built in 1938. The pub name is connected to Trent Bridge cricket ground. Still beautifully preserved, now listed, all those fab art deco features are still in place, and the building was very sensitively refurbished in 2001: revolving brass, wood and glass door, ash-panelled lounge, slate fireplaces, and lovely wide staircase make this a spacious and enjoyable place to be. Great selection of beers too!

Love the interior of this pub, totally art deco design. Good selection of beers on the bar. Abbot ale was perfect. Well spaced out tables and a quirky outside sitting area. Staff were very friendly

Very disappointing went for coffee but coffee machine broken, but surely they could have made coffee manually. Friends who had hot chocolate said it was pure water with chocolate flavour.

This place is a lovely little pub in the heart of West Bridgford. Nice relaxed vibe, very laid back and the staff are lovely.BUT, I am disappointed every time I come here, because though they serve one of my favourite craft beers on tap (Punk IPA), it always seems to be flat.I'd say 80% of the beers I order are flat. Great staff is good, and a good vibe is nice, but respectfully, it means nothing if you're paying £5.25 for a pint of flat beer.

Well polite staff, expensive on certain drinks the only thing that bothers me is you can smell cigarette smoke coming into the pub from outside, sometimes you see the odd one vaping inside sat down which is bad.Other than that a good pub well run.

Great selection of beer, foods good when its on (only pub grub so nothing to complain about). Lovely atmosphere and nice little pool table in the back for when you want some privacy. All round one of the better pubs in WB.

Booked a food and drink table for 7:15 but when we arrived we were greeted with “you are aware we aren’t serving food at the minute right?”. Obviously we were not aware as we had booked a FOOD table for us and our parents visiting from Cheshire. No apology, only explanation was that they don’t have a chef and there’s nothing they can do. Really disappointed we weren’t contacted beforehand so we could make alternative plans and really not impressed with the attitude about it.Unfortunately we also were not left a voice message as the owner has stated, we double checked both phones and had no missed calls or notifications on the booking portal.

Yummy food, happy to help in every way, friendly polite staff. Enjoyable dining and drinking experience even came the next day again, and could easily order the whole menu so yummy

As a transplant resident from the US, this is my favourite traditional pub in West Bridgford. The atmosphere is quaint, comfortable, and traditional. Bar is well supplied with local ales and if there is a match on, there is a huge projection screen in the back. Definitely worth a visit.
