Nice day out in my opinion a bit pricey !£12 no concession elderly/disabledTook disabled mother on mobility scooter most of garden was accessible .Few parts were not we were advised on entry which parts .Not many disabled parking bays.Disabled toilets and cafe accessible .Good food and coffee lovey outdoor seating area. The garden is made up of individual gardens in my option the plants were a-little bit repetitive in some areas . I would have liked to see more gardens which stood out as being very different due to plant selection and not just landscaping like the hot / Mediterranean and the Japanese /oriental garden.Worth a visit and will properly go back at a different time of year printed off the email when joining newsletter online and get it stamped on entry and get half price entry next visit .Join the tea room email list and get offers each month too!!There was a Small garden centre a bit expensive didn't stock all the plants in the garden which was a bit disappointing .

A really lovely place to visit, just right for couple of hours of walking around enjoying gardens. Lots of small gardens with different themes, plenty of benches to sit and admire the views. A nice little cafe and shop and plant nursery too.

A lovely afternoon spent here wandering the beautiful gardens. The afternoon tea here was the icing on the cake. A lot of effort was made ensuring my gluten-free tea was as good as the non-gluten tea, thank you!! A real hidden gem for Coeliacs. Well worth a visit

Visited Barnsdale on the 2nd of June, what a glorious place! We were blessed with fabulous weather and good company on our trip to the gardens. I would recommend the gardens and Helenium tea rooms to anyone. Great food, excellent service in the beautiful garden area. We will definitely return later in the year to see how the gardens change with the seasons.

First visit to Barnsdale Gardens. Easy to find and good parking, when you arrive, if people have been parking considerately.Lovely café with tables inside and outside, if a separate garden area. Service good from a straightforward but nice menu.£12 to get in for adults, so if you like it and think you'll come again, membership is actually a very good deal. Check it out on their website. There are 38 gardens of differing sizes but what we particularly liked was a lot of them were smaller or had elements that could be readily adapted for a modern garden. Good ideas on landscaping, garden design and sympathetic planting.Good welcome from a nice woman in the ticket kiosk and we had a chat on the way out too.Small shop, inevitably......but there is also a very good nursery behind it with some interesting plants, many of which are in the gardens. All in all? A really interesting place to visit for gardeners aspiring, new, through various levels of experience. We came back with lots of ideas and will definitely be back.

Gardens in full bloom today and not at all busy. Lovely breakfast too.

Wonderful gardens. Made up of separate plots. Plenty of seating in each garden to take in the colours and tranquility of the plants and flowers. Brilliant place if you want ideas for your own garden and if you want peace and quiet in a hectic world. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good tea room.

Excellent place to get new ideas for any type of garden big or small on any budget, or gardening experience.Lots of secret nooks and crannies with abundant, suitable seating.Even nicer surprise was the cafe, sat outside, superb value for money, delicious soup and cream tea.All the staff were doing an admiral job despite the volume of customers, but it never felt crowded.Don't be put off by negative reviews, spent 4 hours of relaxing sightseeing and refreshments.

This was my first visit to Barnsdale Gardens, and it wont be my last! Full of beautiful gardens, and heaps of inspiration for my outdoor living spaces at home, this collection of gardens has so many stunning ideas. We also enjoyed having our lunch in the cafe, and I cant wait to visit again!
