When we went, the bakery were preparing for the next day so no baked goods for sale other than bread. The smell from the kitchen was delicious though! I left armed with 4 loaves of bread. It is all absolutely delicious.

Not your typical cream cake bakery.More mainly a savoury bakery shop with limited sweet items. That said, the sweet items are second to none!Chocolate brownie was epic!Cheese straw and Rutland Pippin were outstanding.Well worth a visit if local or visiting the area.

A long weekend in the area led us to buying some fresh bread from here yesterday, but we couldn't resist the look of the pecan buns and treacle tart. The Hambleton loaf was delicious - lovely, crunchy crust and beautiful flavour and texture. Perfect! We were happy enough with this, but then we tried the buns: I can honestly say they are the best buns of any description I have ever eaten in my entire life!! Loads of pecans, perfect dough, lovely crunchy sweet caramelisation on the outside. So good we bought more on the way home today, plus sausage rolls (yum!), Brioche brie & bacon rolls (indulgent and rich), and some lovely looking ciabatta rolls (yet to try, but am sure they will be fab).Luckily we live an hour's drive from here or we'd be very fat, and we'd have to buy shares in the business! 😉😄

It can be summed up quite simply really. Lovely friendly staff and the place smells amazing when the doors opens and you walk - everything tastes just as good as it smells too!!

My teenage daughter was very excited to take me to this lovely bakery (2 Cottesmore Rd, Oakham LE15 8AN) she'd discovered with her Grandma. We travelled 40 minutes for some goodies. The bakes are delicious and worth the trip!Sadly, when we visited I wasn't overwhelmed by the service. We were the only people in the shop and I'd have bought more if I hadn't felt rushed to make selections. I think it depends who serves you, as my Mum & daughter had a good server when they visited.

Cannot give an unbiased review as I've baked bread here for 7 years. We take our time with our bread, anywhere from 24 - 72 hours per loaf. The results speak for themselves. Maps will maybe ask me to review my visit less often now 😂

Superb bakery near Rutland Water with this selection of treats devoured after a 8km walk in the pouring rain 🌧 Great staff and visiting again soon, looking forward to the cafe opening! Sticky pecan bun and Rutland Rippin our faves 👌🏼Award winning and we could taste why 🤤

Normally just stop by here on the way to work to get a snack. Today my car got stuck in their car park due to some nails which were on the edge of the car park bay. All of the staff came out to help lift my car and get my car free of the nails. Aside from the bakery and the lovely staff they were amazing and very helpful

Lovely bread; sourdough sublime. But the highlights were the pastries - quiches light and very tasty and the Eccles cakes sticky, sweet and gorgeous. Had to stand in rain to get in though so go prepared!
