Nice location and outside seating, however the baguettes we had for lunch were sparsely filled and the bread munchy, with no crust and served cold. Would come for drinks but food is definitely not worth the trip / price.

Fab Sunday lunch oh don't forget thd horseradish sauce it's immense

·

Excellent meal last week at lunchtime. Fantastic food and friendly staff. Can recommend the steak pies, chicken pies and hunter chicken. Large portions! And desserts were just as good! Dog friendly in bar. Large outdoor seating area for when the good weather arrives.

Fabulous pub, recently refurbed. Good food, friendly staff, excellent email communition from Dan- the manager. Small caravan and camping club site just over the road. They do serve food on a Sunday lunchtime- roasts and a limited normal menu.

Pre ordered a meal but when it was delivered it was hunters chicken not a chicken pie as requested. They apologised and encouraged me to accept this, they should not have charged for it. Coffee after was a long time coming and when it did it was weak and willing to say the least. No heating on so we were cold throughout our visit. Cannot recommend !

Dogs welcome. Lovely beer from the famous Grainstore Brewery. Really well done food. Proper pie pastry. Plenty of parking if you wanted to walk before or after.

·

Great venue friendly staff good food for a price. Very conveniently located if you're cycling The Rutland Loop, always happy to have bike's and there's racks provided outside.

·

It's a very lovely pub to eat and drink at and the staff are friendly. Although it took a little while for the food to come, it was worth it. Most likely due to it being busier than usual.

The pub is currently undergoing a refurbishment and should look great once finished. We booked ahead and were the only people dining on the night we were there. The staff were very friendly and chatty which we liked. The food was very good and well cooked. They also have a good selection of beers. I recommend their own local beer. We will definitely visit again after the renovations are completed.

Stopped for a beer while cycling around the reservoir - much like everyone else who was there. Plenty of outdoor seating although not all in the shade if it's hot and sunny.Lots of building work going on which is noisy and dusty - also note that the toilets are temporarily sited across the road. Good place to stop which will be amazing when the building work is finished.
