We were looking for somewhere nice to eat on our long distance travels from Dover . My mate and I didn't fancy rubbish like McDonalds , as we had been eating mostly BBQ's for the past 4 days camping. Anyway , whilst traveling along the A1 , I googled restaurants /pubs to eat at . The Jackson Stop Inn pops up with others along the route. We arrived to a quaint , quiet and beautifully set pub /restaurant . I noticed a Michelin Star rated for 2020 award ,pinned to the door .Went through the white doors , to be greeted with a beaming smile from one of the bar maids , asking if we needed assistance. We actually didn't think we would be served , as we only had shorts on and trainers -. This was not the case thankfully . They mentioned they were still serving and could accommodate us .All the staff were very helpful , and nothing was too much to ask .This only leaves the food . What can I say . We had the Sunday set meal for 2 courses .The taste ,quality and presentation were second to none . A range of good beers and ales available also. The online pictures don't do it justice .A place to definitely visit , if you are passing and regret if you don't !

A great little foody pub just off the A1. The village is small and old. Food is all prepared there and is well presented and tasty. Portion not huge, I'd say just right. Worth a visit.

We had an absolutely first class meal last night served by a very friendly, helpful team. Could not have been better. Thoroughly recommended.

Very nice pub/Inn we've just had a lovely meal. Staff are polite friendly attentive without being over the top if you know what I mean. Food is of a very high standard. My mother enjoyed her birthday so many thanks.

Had a great meal, arrived late in the evening but they accommodated me graciously. The meal was incredible and I’ll be coming back for sure! It’s a must!

Nothing quite like it really. A very, very good restaurant set in an old country house/pub with small rooms with four to five tables each. Fireplaces in most of them, and a very cozy atmosphere. You are greeted in the bar area as you first go in, and then you are taken to your table. Very professional and caring staff, food was incredible. Prices are amazing for what you get, and it's definetly worth booking in advance.

Had dinner here as a takeaway. The staff were great and talked us through what they had. We opted for mushroom parcel with potatoes and veg. I had the poached pear and my wife had the brownie. The food was great and still hot when we got back. I can’t recommend and one thing because everything was fantastic. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent food and good value for the quality. Great service and friendly staff. They went the extra mile to help my friend who needed gluten free food. Highly recommended.
