Morcott Country Lounge in Rutland

No longer Morcott Country House, it's been renamed!Looks great and well positioned/appointed - Food was terrible! Was told it was because they'd opened earlier than expected, I'd have saved your reputation and served nothing, than serve that mess!There's another pub 3 minutes away, with a much nicer menu! Give this a miss! It's a real shame as it's so convenient and a really nice place!

Nice atmosphere, helpful staff and great food

This amazing bar/restaurant is nothing short of amazing!!!We found ourselves in the area, while moving up from Northamptonshire, and so it was a complete accident that we found it, and oh Wow!!!Alan and his staff are so welcoming, and having experienced two nights of their menu, we would recommend this place to anyone!!We eat out a lot and so often, we are disappointed ..... you will not be disappointed here!!!Get yourself to this great place, for great food, with amazing flavour .... and the best wood burning stove ever!!!Thank you so much, for the delicious food Alan!!

Went 2015 for boxing day,every thing was fabulous, crunchy roasts lovely dinner. Family impressed. So book for 2016,when near. Went with some friends during December menu,needed to know what we wanted 2days prior, only 4 people. On arrival noted a lot of large plants in square tubs knocked over. Were going to be shown to table next to the kitchen, not good plenty of empty tables. Were given a large menu and a choice from a board. So much for need to know choice in advance. I now get to know that it had changed ownership, so penny dropped. This review is years old, last 2 or so years we and family have enjoyed the superb, dishes and delightful staff of Italian restaurant, L,Olivetti. Sad to find they moved. Some of the reviews I have read are mixed, as new owners, unfortunately put me off,until I found newer ones. To the new owners, could you delete all old reviews? It comes across as very mixed. If you are the 1st owners,who then opened the bed n breakfast. I would not hesitate to be able to come back with family for our get together.

I had a bad experience at this Restaurant. Ordered the food but got more than we bargained for in my steak, mixed up with the onions was a well cooked Cockroach!! Called over Manager, who tried to explain it away but then offered a new steak but both my partner and I requested a full refund, Manager accepted and gave us full refund. Don't know how Cockroach ended up in my dinner in the first place!!!!

Had a great meal. everything home cooked, service was very quick despite there being quiet a few people in. food was cooked perfectly and portion sizes were ample and excellent value for money. only one ale on was the only let down other than that there was a good range of drinks. nice atmosphere and friendly staff. plenty of room in the car park. a bit out the way but will definitely visit again

Fantastic place! The staff were very helpful and welcomed us and our dog. We enjoyed great food and drinks in the sun and would happily go again. Highly recommended authentic Italian restaurant :-)

Great fun staff, charismatic and great food!

Really excellent food. We had quick service and friendly staff. The pizzas are very good and they also quite often have some great cakes. I've uploaded a picture of a chocolate orange cake with mint ice cream which is a great example of one of these cakes and was one of the best cakes I've ever eaten. A very friendly atmosphere and good background music is on.

Can highly recommend the Country Lounge Restaurant Pizzeria, had a fabulous time, Superb service friendly staff, good beer what more could you ask? With the added bonus of the restaurant that serves fantastic Italian food you must access the desert menu!You won't be disappointed
